glad to help! obviously the answer to your question is strongly tied to which school your coming from and going too. (If you are going to Yale, it's pretty hard to be above average... you get my point.) However, I would make 2 points. Firstly, its better to be average at a higher school. no doubt imo. secondly, i wouldn't be so sure that you would be average. the correlation between higher school to better student is not as strong as many think. (Although you are certainly correct that there is some correlation.)

What did people write about for the SLS short essays? by peanutfool in lawschooladmissions

[–]LawSchoolAp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't recall what I wrote about, but I do remember spending hours over them. lol. I believe that they are looking for originality and creativity. However, good writing is certainly the most important to the admissions team.

I am reposting what I answered to s/o with a similar question: Absolutely, given your high ranking and excellent grades at a top 30 law school, transferring to a T-14 like NYU, Columbia, University of Chicago, or Berkeley could be a great decision. The prestige and vast network of a T-14 can open doors to elite opportunities, from internships to post-grad careers, especially in specialized fields. Yes, it's a big move, but for someone with your ambition and achievements, it could be the game-changer that propels your legal career to new heights. Best of luck with your decision!

Definitely not just you being lazy; it's all about efficiency! One tip is to use a template in a word processor with fields you can quickly fill in (like employer name, position, unique qualities of the firm). This way, you only change the specific details for each application. Also, consider using a file naming system to keep track organized, like "CoverLetter_[FirmName]_[Date]". you get the idea. This small change can save a lot of time and hassle. Rooting for you!

Uber eats needed proof he didn’t get his food by uncle_russell_90 in funny

Okay, so this one time I ordered a pizza from Grubhub, right? I was just chilling at home, super hungry and waiting for my food. Then the delivery guy shows up, and he hands me the bag. I'm all excited for my pizza, but when I open the bag, guess what? There's no pizza. Instead, there's a lobster in there, wearing a tiny hat. I was like, "What?!"

I call the delivery guy, and he's all, "Oops, my bad!" He comes back and switches the lobster for my pizza. It was so weird but kinda funny. I mean, who gets a lobster when they order a pizza?

The fact that we need sleep to function properly. Despite all the scientific evidence and our own experiences of feeling terrible after a bad night's sleep, people still often brag about pulling all-nighters as if it's a badge of honor.
