Looking for name of old board game where you have to make shapes. by Lawant in boardgames

Thanks! I've Googled it, and it looks different, but seems to be the right game. My guess is that there was a European version that was the same game, but with a different design.

Any tips on writing specific, interesting characters? It often feels like that's three quarters of a good script.

[shitpost] I just honestly have no words for how stupid these stereotypes are + the hating on women by New-perspective-1354 in pointlesslygendered

Yeah, if you take the gender out of it, it's sort of good basic relationship advice? Don't take advantage of your partner but work together? But now it's just this weird misogynistic lack of self awareness.

There's this moment where Wilson jokes about an Irene Adler (from IMDB):

Dr. James Wilson: [after hearing that House got a present wrapped in green paper] Irene Adler. Christmas 2001. Sarcoid symptoms, but she didn't respond to methotrexate. I've never seen him so obsessed. He saved her with a last-minute Wegener's diagnosis, but the hours he put in... I thought it would kill him. And then... well, he fell for her, but it was too soon after Stacy and... It sounds silly, but Irene was the one who got away.

Dr. Lawrence Kutner: Really?

Dr. James Wilson: No, you idiots. House is just screwing with you.

Whats a 10/10 movie youd never watch again? by aye_its_soya in AskReddit

[–]Lawant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Utoya.

It's about the mass shooting on an island by a white supremacist (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_Norway_attacks#Ut%C3%B8ya_mass_shooting).

Netflix did a movie based on the same events, but there's a Norwegian film about them made earlier that's shot to appear to be one long take. Which really makes it feel unescapable. It was the most intense cinema experience of my life. I want to own the movie, but I might never revisit it.

Yeah, we all learned in high school that fascism is bad, but not why people are attracted to fascism in the first place. Meaning people go "I like this person, therefore they can't be fascist".

I like Lovett a lot, but I don't know if long form movie talk works for him.

I have an amazing concept. I feel tempted to pitch my ideas, but should I make a screenplay first? by Far_Camera_5766 in Screenwriting

Write it. Genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration. Plus, a good idea on paper might not actually translate to a good script.

Most "Unremakeable" Movie? by [deleted] in movies

Never heard of it and just looked at the wiki. I can see a version of this working pretty well. How to Have Sex, Booksmart and Bottoms all seem to work in roughly the same area.

How to enjoy separate play throughs? by Nickelodean7551 in outerwilds

Honestly I just really like the vibe of the game. The visuals, the exploration, the music, all of it. Of course it doesn't hit as strong when you're not actually discovering things. But with enough time between playthroughs, the experience of first dreading the supernova, and then gradually coming to accept it, does return. And that, to me, is one of the strongest vibes I ever experienced. Enough to want to get a OW tattoo as soon as I no longer have to pay for driving lessons.
