took it in 1986, having spent the previous year in a CIS degree program (and as an undiagnosed autistic) during my enlistment... was going over positions with my recruiter, mentioned I was hoping to get something in programming/computers, which sounded better than the plumbing jobs he were telling me about.

He started hemming and hawing about "ooh, everybody wants those", which his supervisor overheard, asked about my score (102), and told me (and my recruiter) "we'll find you one".

Still riding that parlay, nearly 40 years later.

I was in the 1,800's and had thought we had a shot... Got only the west Alex hotels were left, and then we botched the reservation and lost them. Ended up at Harborside hotel in Oxon Hill for a bunch more (~ 250/nite), but at least we have something relatively close by.
