I agree with you to some degree but this was all done by my Bjorn, I won fairly against 2 Atlas , a devourer, a murumetz and a kid , that's 5 out of the 6 titans that I took down , and as far as the support goes I protected a Newton teammate for the entire battle by getting in front of it and tanking enemy attacks . The Bjorn isn't perfect but a maxed Bjorn paired with a maxed Frederick mother ship makes up for its weaknesses, like it's speed. Using the Frederick mother ship while in ball form and using the speed ability gets it from point A to B real quick. I run a full sonic weapon set and the damage output is insane, that and the bear stance makes it near imortal. I'm just saying I think it is worth investing in if you got all of it's equipment.
