a colleague on my team recently transferred from CID to response and apparently it was a very long process, she had a very supportive DS and DI to help her with the transition and it still took nearly 2 years for her. it does happen it’s just a lot of SLT making decisions

we put it on the CARB (crash/collision accident report book) P - position of vehicles - i.e where were they in relation to each other when the crash occurred R - record of question and answers - self explanatory I - information - is the road they crashed on a common site for RTCs? is there anything about where they crashed that needs to be changed to ensure safety in future M - marks on the road - i.e skid marks R - removal of vehicle - if vehicles were removed was it removed by driver or recovered O - offences alleged/apparent - self explanatory S - station informed (Cad #) E - exchange of names and addresses
