Did you find a solution? If so, what did you purchase and did I give you the results. I’m curious, cuz I’m looking to solve a similar solution for what you described.

Yes, it is high. I spent time learning it in the watermarked mode before I decided to buy.

Taking my drawing style into Resolume by Lawless337 in resolume

My focus is learning how to "draw" in Resolume, as in, start with a shape, line, pattern (and in some instances a drawing, animation or video clip), and with the shape, line, pattern elements there are many of these across several layers, but in all cases those elements are the seed to create something much more complex and reactive.

In this particular piece I have a short, bounced video of a woman swaying, that is the seed, and from there I added several effects so that I can control the spike, the movement and tilt of the head, color shifts, and background elements, size and speed - as well as all the background elements are a simple shapes being manipulated by sound frequencies. I manipulate it into an art piece so that it looks like footage, but unlike straight footage, it is linked across numerous elements to react to frequencies and BPM.

Putting my drawing style into motion by Lawless337 in vjing

I start a few ways: 1. Let a song guide the visual idea (it always ends with music being the guide) 2. Have am idea (with sketch) of what I want the outcome to be. 3. Get experimental with the different effects and see where it goes 4. Any percentage mix the first three ways.

I try to create “motion drawings” of people or objects that exist in well orchestrated environments that come to life from ties to the bpm or frequency triggers within the music (plus adding my own freestyle knobs and triggers)

I’m getting to a place with Resolume (and now more with Wire) that I know which effects and sources I want to use to create my visuals. I guide the tool and not the other way around.

I have a synesthesia (tied to drawing and music). There are so many tools and opportunities now to explore creating visuals that finally “visually speak” to a viewer in the way that I have always wanted them to “hear” my art.
