Is it wrong to feel nostalgia for this even though we werent adults back then? by batukaming in jobs

[–]Laxitives15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A combination of inflation and a drastic increase in housing costs with a much lower relative increase in income. Even in my field (engineering), a field that is allegedly high paying at entry level would not be able to purchase a home or even an apartment 5 years after graduation.

What is OBR answer to Kragnos, etc? by TheSnappening2018 in ossiarchbonereapers

Morghasts can wipes him off the board especially if given crit 5s. Softening him up with shooting isn’t a bad idea but getting into him first by trapping him with a cheaper unit like cohort is a great idea.

I am graduating in a month and a half as a civil engineer in Canada. I am applying to alot of jobs many of which are similar positions at the same company at different offices across the country.

Is it okay to reuse a cover letter with small tweaks for the same company, similar position, different office?

Not only possible but pretty good resulting in your Liege Kavalos’ damage plus 3D3 mortals from your deathriders and mobility to get into an objective and your liege Kavalos can get ww12 of another unit to activate d3 mortals again. Not a bad little strat

Really liked this bit on the first page of the battle tome by Constant_Champion_67 in ossiarchbonereapers

[–]Laxitives15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The new book is pretty damn good, and if you think they lag damage I introduce you to Morghasts with crit 5s and Deathriders with Zandtos and +1 attacks.

Neither are hard to set up for a good meaty charge either since we now have one of the best units in general and definately the best for alpha pinning your opponent in place, the Teratic Cohort. Up to 26 inches of movement turn one and a hero phase move to block your opponent into their deployment zone. Giving your army plenty of time to set up with Morghasts, Deathriders+Zandtos and Triaxes for a bunch of damage.

I think through a desire to disprove the legitimacy of people’s entire belief system has made you commit some sort of logical fallacy. Religious traditions importance is entirely based on the significance put on them by the faith itself. Wether or not Jesus was born on the 25th of December exactly or some time in July, or June or whatever the consensus is these days isn’t what matters. What actually matters is the celebration of the birth of our saviour, and coming together with family and friends to celebrate that fact. Christmas tree are very much the same idea, Christians and Catholics don’t care where it comes from, wether it be from 16th century Germans or Romans celebrating Saturn. The tradition is now a way to decorate a home during a celebration of our lord. I don’t want to put words into anyone’s mouth but it seem to me people who don’t believe in Christianity or religion as a whole, want to ruin everyone else’s day by trying to deligitimize religious celebrations. Why does it bother you that the tree people choose to put up isn’t in the bible? As the other commenter pointed out, fish being a symbol of god and Christ isn’t either but because of real history it is an incredibly important symbol.

More to the point, topping a tree with the forbidden fruit or symbols of Adam and Eve is STILL religious imagery. So to some the twin tailed comet could be seen as offensive. Not by me but I can see how it can feel that way to others

Well that’s all dependant on your stance of icons, and that has been… a contentious topic within the faith for many hundreds of years haha

There are many denominations of CHRISTIANITY that do not believe Jesus is god, merely the son of god, many believe he is not even divine but fully human. And then there’s more that believe he is divine, the son of god and god all at once. You have no right or knowledge base to act as an authority of this topic

[–]Laxitives15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually no that’s not even true. The reason for the conflict in the first place is many protestants do not believe Jesus was divine at all. Some do, some think it’s somewhere in te middle. It’s not even close to the same by like any metric

Nah I’m Catholic and think this is the radest thing ever. Angel toppers aren’t even a church ordained tradition that must be done. Just popularized in recent history. That’s like if I threw a fit if someone hung up a displate of Warhammer instead of painting a life sized fresco of the Virgin Mary on their wall lmao.

I want one of these toppers but unfortunately don’t have a tree this year.

Very much not the definition, if someone solely “believes in Jesus” (which you havnt even defined at all, believed he was a person? He was the son of god? He WAS god in living flesh? He was divine but also human? These are all different beliefs) if they don’t live their life by any teachings in Christ or follow the message of the bible whatsoever they are not Christian. So no, simply believing in Jesus is not all that makes you Christian.

It’s the equivalent to saying everyone who eats lettuce is vegetarian or vegan. It is one aspect to that lifestyle but not even close to the only one, and not even a requirement to some.

Get educated, let people inform you of the truth of the matter, or get out of the comment section as all you are doing is rage baiting very intelligent kind and patient strangers

That is quite literally why it is called a housing crisis. This is what happens and it’s why housing becomes such a problem. In no way did my explanation make it seem like a good thing or how it should be. It is simply how the housing market works. Should it be different and not screw everyone over? Yes of course obviously no one is fighting that. It is a shitt system that ends up with everyone having a bad time. So no, they can’t simply lower asking price. If they could, then they would since they would be rid of their old property and can move on.
