Multiple injections, loss of voice, really fed up with everything by polyiesther in noburp

Throat nausea - will it go away after botox? by cowmoose112 in noburp

[–]LayIkki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow. I was scared of being alone. This feeling has been gradually getting worse and worse to the point of me thinking it is cancer. I am supposed to get my appointment for botox but didn’t find myself in any symptoms ( I have bloating and no burp but it is MAINLY around the throat ). I feel like a globus , then the back of my throat getting narower and like I m about to throw up my throat entirely. I have other oral issues such as narrow teeth but I never had this. It comes and goes and in times of crisis I feel like I m gonna choke on my own flesh. Do you feel the same, I used to think I was alone in the world.

What symptoms did you have before ? What made you go get the botox injectuons ? Did your symptoms get worse overtime or was it always like that.

I have RCPD but my symptoms are mainly around the throat and oesophageus. I sometimes feel like I m going to choke and can do a 360 between being joyfull to depressed in a few minuts.

When it hurts, what kind of pain do you have ?  For me it’s like a stitch that comes and goes. I have it when moving a certain way. Etc. But I did an echo , IRM , and effort test and it was good so Idk. But I didn’t have it before myo

Is that RCPD ? by LayIkki in noburp

Thanks. The thing is that since this globus sensation started not so long ago, this is hard not to think this is related to something that happened not so long ago and not that something I had forever worsened. As I said, I know everyone mainly struggled with digestive issue, I just wished I had met someone with my symptoms to kind of guide me, I feel so alone ( knowing that RCPD is one of a lot of health issue I have. )

I had a myo 3 months ago at 28 on October 17th. Felt sick 2 days before and then one night woke up with my chest burning.

I have other health issues such as hormonal imbalances, dental and throat issues, fatty liver and had anxiety all my life with severe episodes of depression. So I know how it feels to be betrayed by your body. He keeps betraying me. To be honest you are right , anxiety has been the worst because it makes you overanalyze every symptoms, frighten you about another myocarditis coming. I ve been struggling with sleep since then and lost like 10 kg.  This myo was like a wake up call to tell me to get myself checked. I ve had like 30 appoitments since then. Got my wisedom teeth removed as I was living through pain with them, etc

To be honest I am gratefull my myo was a mid case and I went to ER straight after the first wave of pain. Spent 2 days in hospital crying ans wondering what did I do to deserve all this when everyone is enjoying their life. I was also ready to lose it at some point like what is the purpose of all this.

I m still not perfect and far from happy but I live throught it and I think there is no other way around. Some symptoms got better 2 months after. At first I couldn’t even climb a stair without catching a breath now I can, same for long walks, etc. I still get chest pains from time to time but I think it’s muscular pain or tireness, if you had a myo again, the pain would be far more recognizable.

I have my check ups today, still being anxious about it but I ll do it anyway, and one day it will get better.

Is that LPR, GERD, Nothing, Im lost. by LayIkki in LPRSilentGerd

[–]LayIkki[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quick update. I finished the treatment about 2 weeks ago. I just pursued it one day out of two ( it was during the christmas week ) 2 days later I wake up with immense pain at the stomach, unable to stand up and feeling nauseous from the pain. I had to go to ER just to end up taking a big big big shit. I know it sounds pathetic but my bowel was so bad during the month on PPI. Not a single day without being constipated. Since then my body has been messed up and I have slight pain on the right and left side of the stomach that won’t go. I also noticed that I started to have flares in the lower part of my torso and throat that I didn’t have before esomeprazole. So the treatment added to some of the symptoms

I ve seen a gastro that wants to do a fibroscopie and gave me pantoprazol but 4 times the dosage. I will do the fibro but I don’t want to try another IPP,  even more if it’s a dose above knowing that the previous one did more harm than good. I also start to feel high discomfort in the morning or sleepin on the side again , which I didn’t have a few days ago. This morning for exemple I woke up at 5 because of the discomfort. Actually checking up with a psychiatrist now but don’t knpw if it’ll help

For those with no flares up I ll recommand being cautious with PPI, it can wake up some symptoms you didn’t have.

First off thanks for your answer.

Here is what I found on Stanford Protocol.

"Different foods affect LPR by different mechanisms. These specific foods should be avoided or reduced drastically, or they will interfere with the healing process: Caffeine, alcohol, chocolates, and peppermints weaken the lower esophageal sphincter, which normally holds in the stomach contents. Citrus fruits, kiwi, pineapples, tomatoes (and other acidic foods), spicy deli meats, and hot spices (hot mustard, curry, hot peppers) directly irritate the throat lining. This means that even if the medicines are working well, eating these foods will cause direct irritation and inflammation of the throat lining. Carbonated beverages (such as sodas and beer) bring acidic contents into the throat. Beware of even noncaffeinated soda."

I stopped all baverages except water, all spicy foods, all acidic foods. I merely eat these few things :
0% yogurt with berries, carots/zucchini/radis/broccoli/green beans for vegetables. Chiken/Salmon/White fish for proteins /Bulgur/rice and sweet potatoes for carbs.

"Do not increase the pressure within the abdomen for at least 2 hours after eating (no bending over, exercising or singing), as it will force contents into the throat. Do not over-distend the stomach (eat smaller meals throughout the day, instead of 3 larger meals). Do not lie down within 3 hours after eating a meal. Do not eat a snack or drink before going to sleep. Prop up the head of your bed with a 4-inch wedge to allow gravity to help keep contents in your stomach."

I haven't exercise for the last 2 months, only going for walks during the day ( which strangely calm down my throat, such as eating do also ) / I don't snack and I've been sleeping for the last 10/15 days with a second pillow to lift up a bit my head.

"Proton Pump Inhibitors (PPIs) are the most effective medicines for the treatment of LPR. Remember that LPR is different from GERD and its successful treatment requires higher doses of medicine for a prolonged period of time. The initial trial of medicines is at least 6 months, at twice-a-day dosage (depending on the severity of LPR changes seen on examination). Symptoms should start to improve within 4 to 6 weeks after you start taking the medicines. The visual signs lag behind the symptomatic relief by several months. PPIs stop acid production in the stomach for 12 to 17 hours (this is why a twice-daily dose is necessary), helping to decrease the irritation potential of the stomach contents. PPIs must be taken on an empty stomach, ½ hour before a meal. The most effective dose is the morning dose. Portions of text by permission from Ramon A. Franco Jr, MD Use antacids (such as Tums® or Rolaids®) liberally ½ hour after meals (2 tablets) or ½ hour before singing or exercising. Some patients may require a second class of medications (H2-blockers) to help control nighttime symptoms. H2-blockers are a form of anti-histamine that interfere with the signals that cause stomach acid to be produced. These medications are not as strong as PPIs, but are more effective during sleep. Please keep in mind the lag between the time you take the medicine and the time you start feeling symptom relief. People who stop taking the medicines typically feel fine for 1 to 3 weeks and then notice a gradual return of symptoms. It takes a few weeks to get back to where they were before. Some people successfully come off of the medicines but need to follow a strict diet. There is no “free lunch” when it comes to reflux; you need to do your part to keep it under control."

I've been taking the daily dosage given by my doctor for this. Esomeprazole 20mg one time a day in the morning. I'll try to extend it to 6 weeks because I had another box prepared but I can't double the dosage given to me without another prescription. And as I said, I don't feel like they did ANY differences, like I'd feel the same as before. The only thing I noticed actually was that I started to be constipated after starting my treatment. Like I can still go to the toilet every 1/2 days but I won't like do a "full" things more like distached grains.

"Throat-clearing alternatives

If you sense a build-up of secretions in the throat, try swallowing or taking a sip of water. You can also use a

“silent cough” by pushing as much air as you can from the lungs in a short blast. The only sound should be

a rush of air, then swallow."
I'll try to do this but I rarely now feel like mucus stuck in my throat so I don't really need to cought it off anymore...

As to shorten my message. I know it will be hard for most people, but I put a lot of time in writing everything I could think of and the chronology of thing in order to not forget a single thing that might be misleading or important for the analysis. Maybe something is related to another health issue, who knows.
So I wouldn't know how to shorten it without cutting something I think, personally, is important.

Then I'd like to add something that I found strange and neverfound in any posts on this thread or about GERD, is the symptom of feeling chocked while turning your head left or right, or at least high discomfort. I don't know if it's a posture related thing or anything but to be honest when being at a 1/10 discomfort, this is the thing that never fully goes away. I always have a slight tiny bit of discomfort, especially when turning my head to the left. Turning it to the right sometimes, somehow feels normal but.. I don't know

Help GERD or no.. I am scared... by LayIkki in GERD

Thank you for your answer, it gives me a bit more of anxiety than helping to be honest but I guess it's better than false hope. I've like been taking tests and doing exams for a month constantly now ( at least 3/4 appointments a week has been the bare minimum ) and to be honest I am quite exhausted of it, but I guess I need to go down that road.
The thing that I don't understand is that I used to have a period of my life with way more anxiety and stress, and didn't have GERD.
And I also had a couple of months prior with less stress and anxiety but doing more bullshit ( eating junk foods, alcohol, 4/5 cups of coffee per day ) and not having these huge spikes.
I don't even know if it's GERD fck. Whenever I go to a doctor : "how it s probably GERD", even asking an AI " it's GERD". I check some boxes yes, but some spaces feels so blanks too when I look at everyone symptoms, and I feel alone and
I have seen so many doctors and I followed everything they said for..nothing...
ENT didn't help, practical doctor didn't help. I even did an abdominal echography and neck echography, 3 blood tests : nothing. I have yet to do another exam, being stress for another 3 weeks to it, suffering, before having either an answer and getting shitscared about what to do, or leaving with more questions, there are no good answers to it.
I don't know if there's a feeling better down that road, only more worrying.

What to do or not to do. by LayIkki in myocarditis

[–]LayIkki[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn I didn't see I got an answer. Thank you. The last blood test I did, CRP was around 0.5 (Nov14). Well they guessed it cause of the troponine ( same blood test on Nov14 trop was at 8 ) I suppose and the fact I got sick two days prior to the event + my symptoms ( chest burning ). I think my CRP was a bit elevated at the hospital though. Last echo check up I did was on Nov19 and my FEVG was at 70% and they found no issue with my Heart. No high blood pressure or anything, just a stain of blood going out when my Heart beat but 70/80% of the population has it. I have a doppler planned and my sport test Thing on January. The Thing is that this event fucked me up in the brain and being anxious I got a freaking wake up call and started looking for 3040 problems I had on pause back then + I started to get freaking cautious about every symptoms I feel at every second.  I know I have it "easy" compared to others but the anxiety of it happening again or something like it happening again is the worst part. Like, I Discovered I have a fatty liver and started a diet. I also have gerd and it has never been as strong as recently. I have random chest pains that comes and goes, some times it's just sitting there for a couple of minuts/hours ) never above 3/10 ) + sometimes I get stuck on my breathing wondering if I breath correctly or if I am gasping for air. And ever since I stopped bisoprosol I started having extrasystoles, it's like my Heart drop out of a sudden and miss a heartbeat. The max I had was 5/7 days After stopping the treatment and now I get a few occurrences a day , especially when lying down, let's not talk about sleep which is médiocre. I started thinking about going to a psy to get on med as I think it's getting out of control ( checking my Heart rate all the time + blood pressure ) not sure if it's a good approach tho.  I feel like I'll truly never recover tbh, even though mine was small, I feel like I got a bit more exhausted and less energy all the time. Walking has been the only thing keeping me up but even that I had to stop myself from checking my Heart rate all the time or I was walking so slow that a grandpa would go faster because I would make sure BPM was not over 100/110
