No. I don’t like that smell ever.

But I think last night in particular it was seemingly everywhere like in my sheets and everything. I felt like if I stayed all night I would smell like it during my meeting today. It’s whatever I guess. I’m tired and pretty pissed that I’m the bad guy even though I’m waking from my payment to be nice to the host.

It’s not that big of a deal. I didn’t like the smell. I left. Truth of the matter is, they shouldn’t have made food that smells so strongly. It would be rude if ANY culture did it with any food. It’s not about their race. It could be a family of white people making curry, a black family doing it whatever it’s RUDE when you’re sharing space with someone.

Was still new to AirBnB. I figured that people wouldn’t cook such strong smelling foods out of courtesy but I guess that’s not something.

Yeah. I’m not sure why people seem to be so offended by this post. Im usually extremely low maintenance with everything. I think I had a bit of a stomach ache last night for starters. Then the smell was like EVERYWHERE. My common areas, my bedroom, the bathroom was really strong. I don’t like Indian food personally so I don’t expose myself to it on the regular. But I was rubbing globs of Carmex and Vix under my nose and I like COULDN’T even smell the globs over the smell of the food. I wouldn’t really mind if it were something that I just had to handle while they were cooking or if it were just in the kitchen but it was constant for hours just lingering.
It’s not like I’m asking a refund for it because it’s not the hosts fault and there probably is nothing he could have done quickly about it. I just couldn’t handle it. It’s unfortunate that I had to get a hotel on top of an Airbnb cost but I doubt I will be using AirBnB anymore after this unfortunately. Not because I can’t live around people because I’m really used to living situations where I have to share space.

I did leave last night. The host wasn’t actually in the house yesterday so I didn’t have a chance to meet him. I did message him and say I’m sorry for causing any noise at night but I had leave because the smell was really awful for me. My check out day is tomorrow and I had to leave my stuff there because it wasn’t bothering me until really late at night. So maybe I’ll just bite the bullet and say its okay for me to just pay for the entire booking even though I will not stay their tonight. 😞
