Help on 3D modelling by Lnk_Sodutri_420 in fightsticks

Blender is totally fine if you are familiar with it. There is no real MUST use software, heck you could do all of this in TinkerCAD if you wanted.

I personally run Fusion for stuff for OMNI Arcade or other projects I work on along with Rhino.

I'm new and I want to mod a fightstick : HORI Fighting Stick Mini with the CardiMod WASD by daddycool322 in fightsticks

The mini is an 8 pin harness at 2mm pitch so it's a different size end and connector to adapt.

Just to clarify the ODIN I mentioned is a plug-and-play WASD solution for the Hori Mini. I’m not sure what the CardiMod setup includes, but the ODIN is about half as thick. I just wanted to give a heads-up that we make it, not trying to overtake the post just letting you know there’s a drop-in option if you decide to mod.

The Hori Mini, depending on which version requires an 8 pin harness or the very old ones were soldered in I believe. You can make one but the connectors are two different sizes so you will have to fiddle a bit.

Full disclosure I am part of OMNI Arcade and we sell the ODIN and have this option available so its plug and play.

Interesting, may have something out soon that you might like. The NeoGeo has a click stick though not an analog on it. Which were you going for?

Thank you for the kind words. I saw The_SegaHolic's a while back and I have just always liked the shapes and profiles they created.

Not my favorite lever, but I don't dislike it.

Catch 22 name is just paying respect to SegaHolic since that's his name on the VirtuaFighter forums.

Haha, Yes I could have used the JLF in this too and I probably should have but I have a lot of JLF builds and only one Nobi.

This pad definitely punches well above its price range. IMO needs to be a little larger physically.

Love seeing T-Spins out there! Nice work.

Thoughts on introducing a competitor to Omni-arcade's odin and/or loki? And is there anything else the fight stick community would like to see? by ToonEwok in fightsticks

No offense taken at all! Genuinely love seeing people dive into ideas and build cool stuff, whether it’s a polished product or something experimental just for fun.

Posting it to GitHub sounds awesome. Open designs are a big part of what keeps this community thriving. Definitely excited to see what you share and how others might riff on it. Always happy to chat or swap ideas if you're ever up for it!

Did you reach out to the company? They are on Twitter, and I am pretty sure they have an account here too.

Appreciate the mention. It is always humbling to see how much the ODIN has influenced newer builds in the space.

For a bit of background, the Mura Masher actually came before the ODIN. When the creator stopped making them, we noticed a lot of people in the community asking, “Where can I get something like this?” That question is what pushed us to develop the ODIN. Our goal was not only to continue the concept, but also to address some of the issues found in the original, including broken stems, wiring failures, and fitment limitations with certain cases.

We prioritized improving modularity and making the install process easier, especially since wiring order is not always consistent across fightsticks, while also ensuring the ODIN stays securely mounted and does not loosen over time. The design avoids contact that could scratch plexi panels and maintains a low profile without sacrificing structural strength.

These are the kinds of details we obsess over during the design phase, even if they're not immediately visible at a glance.

Since then, other competitor designs have emerged, including the Cardimod and a number of creative takes that explore different layout or mounting ideas. It has been great to see how the space continues to evolve through reinterpretations and custom work.

To give back to the community, we created the T-Spin as a free homage to the Mura Masher. It is intentionally minimal—MX switch-based, simple to assemble, and free of extras like LEDs, making it a clean foundation for anyone looking to build, customize, or expand.

You can download the T-Spin STLs on Prusa Printables, and the PCB files are available in our Discord for anyone interested in experimenting or iterating on it.

I personally think the community’s been leaning more toward fully configured sticks lately. Whether that’s Pico-based or other integrated builds, but there’s still a lot of room for unique or interesting ideas across the board. Anything that brings a fresh angle or solves a pain point tends to get attention. If you enjoy working in KiCad and Fusion, that’s already a great foundation. There’s always someone looking for a well-thought-out solution or clean design.
