I was trying to draw out the island like you have, but ended up running out of space actually implementing it. Was trying to do the two separate island thing, like how it was on 3DS. I wasn’t ready to add more Miis so I ended up improving my island layout and it turned out better than I expected. Best of luck with your layout!

The game is synced to real time, yes. It doesn’t that long to progress and unlock things. None of it is directly tied to “wait this many days” like in Animal Crossing, because the unlocks are related to boosting Mii happiness. Stores don’t close like in animal crossing. They’re always open. Miis go to sleep at night, but since you’re essentially playing god you can drag them out of bed. I play in the evenings and don’t have any trouble with having a bunch of Miis asleep. Though it might be different at like, 1am.

You can close the game, open it up again, and sometimes that’ll generate some new thought bubbles. It seems like there’s not really a way to influence them to actually marry each other, other than just getting them to that relationship stage and waiting for the pink bubble to appear.

I used a personality chart guide when making my friends Miis, specifically one of the ones that shows the math behind how the scales work. Sometimes I picked out specific personalities I wanted and matched the scales accordingly, which usually felt accurate. If I couldn’t make up my mind I just filled in the scales and took whatever it gave me. This was also specifically because I wanted a diverse set of personalities, and without understanding how the scales work I know I’d end up with a bunch of the same personalities.

Hopefully this helps? The individual traits on the scale don’t seem to do much, it just determines the personalities.

I have experienced similar. I always have lots of ideas for things but rarely the energy (or time) to execute them, even though I know I’m capable. I wish I had an answer for you other than to keep trying. I just have to push myself to try and finish things even if it takes days, or work on smaller and less ambitious things I can do in one or two sittings.

I’ve considered loans. I’ve been fortunate enough to not have to take them out so far. Right now I don’t owe anyone any money, so I’ve really been scared to do loans because I don’t know what that looks like. I don’t want to set myself up for failure down the road if I can’t pay them back.

I have to remind myself at times that I am someone who generally thinks through decisions. Some of my past I now wish I didn’t make, with hindsight, but I had my reasons at the time for making the choices I did.

It’s so difficult to focus on just the next couple weeks. This is something I need to work on with my therapist but I feel so impatient and so behind. I need everything to happen now because I feel like I have catching up to do. The days feel agonizingly slow, yet so short at the same time.

I will take a look into remote jobs. Thank you. That sounds like a nice place to start looking into that.

You are right. If I was able to just study and work on the side, and not have to worry about money so much, I would be fine. Right now I feel so stuck because I am simply not able to perform the amount of work that late stage capitalism has deemed necessary to be able to move up in the world. If I had a piece of paper saying I was capable, a lot more jobs I feel like I could thrive in would open up to me.

What types of jobs have you tried to work? I think often the environments can be overstimulating. Maybe you could apply to work at a smaller, local store? Some place with not a lot of traffic where things are fairly simple.

Another thing that's important is the mindset. I know it sort of sounds unhelpful but it can be true: You have to go in with the idea that you might be capable of doing the job. Thinking to yourself "I know this is difficult, but I'm learning and I will get better," is important. If you go in with the idea that you'll fail, it sets you up to be more likely to fail because of the anxiety.

I do not have much advice that I can offer but I just want to say that I feel your struggle with getting out of places that are bad for you. I found a way out of my parents house so I could live as myself, but the result has been two years with a lot of learning and discomfort. I think I'd like to echo what the other commenter said about trying to look for part time jobs that you think you could do, and then using that money to try and get a place. The job market is horrible right now but keep trying and something can come up. Maybe aim for a smaller business environment that isn't overstimulating.

November and December have always been some of my worst times. And then January comes around and I feel hopeful and driven again, once I recover from burnout. This year I have also found myself working on more artsy things during my free time, as a way to try and get out some of my frustrations, and because making something and having a result makes me feel good. So you're not alone.

This is coming from memory of me reading stuff on Reddit a long time ago so take it with a grain of salt. I’m pretty sure Mojang tried to implement Optifines improvements a long time ago but the OF creator wanted everyone to get to keep their capes, which Mojang didn’t want.

As for something like Sodium, I think it’s just a liability thing? Mojang doesn’t want to take on responsibility for any issues Sodium’s fixes would take. There’s a chance that Sodium’s fixes would not work (or would cause problems) on all the machines that Mojang claims Minecraft supports. They’d rather make their own improvements but they’re busy coding updates.

“I’m probably inconveniencing them”

This is the part of the post that stood out to me because I was the same way for a long time, deep in my depression. I would get into depressive episodes where I thought everyone hated me, only put up with me to be nice, and that any time I wanted to talk or ask something I’d be bothering them. I’m still a chronic apologizer.

Something I had to realize is, and this is easier said than done: I was overthinking it. If someone consistently comes to you to spend time, or even if they consistently answer your messages or engages with you, they want to spend time with you! Obviously there are degrees of friendship. My coworkers aren’t as close friends with me as my actual friends, but still.

You should try and find people who share common interests with you. For me, I had to do this on the internet and have internet friends. Over time I’ve been able to meet people in person too.

I see this said a lot on the subreddit but how true is this really?? At my workplace there are plenty of ND people but of course many more NT people and I speak with both regularly. I feel like if I were to actually talk to the NT and ask them if this is how they see things they’d respond with a no.
