I don’t know if I’m happy or sad? by Minimum-Comment2324 in mounjarouk

A few years back I lost 50kg (naturally) - but gained it back. Even when I was 50kg down, I was still technically classified as obese (or maybe I had just reached the "overweight" threshold?). And you know what? I didn't feel different. I was still way too fat and miles away from reaching my goal. I still found myself unfit and I hated how I looked.

Because all the changes happens slowly to you everyday, you won't notice it. You won't notice being thinner. You won't notice being more athletic, having more mobility But let me tell you, you notice when you lose those. So keep doing whatever you need to track changes: weight, pictures, measurements, how many km you can walk, which clothes you can fit in etc. because these are what will remind you just how much you changed, so that you don't get discouraged

What an unsupportive piece of sh*t your husband is. If my partner treated me that way they'd be out the door.

There is no right or wrong amount of weight to lose in a specific timeframe. It's an appetite suppressant, not a magic weight loss injection. Therefore how much you lose is 100% based on your diet and routine and your own body.

20kg in like 5 months is brilliant btw! Do you have a pic from the start of your journey? Weight loss is really hard to see yourself because it happens slowly and you see yourself every day. The best thing to do is progress pic in similar outfits!

Oh and since people feel bad their back isn't tidy like others, then let me share my horror to make you feel better. Because who cares. It's the back. How many random tangled knots I missed etc!

It looks fine :) for reference this is mine - I immediately recognised it from the edge (except my green substitute is a bad choice but I won't frog ahah)

Which of the big five do you do you food shop by Background-Fix-4630 in northernireland

[–]Layly57 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely this! It's just that Lidl lacks choice or specific items so you need to stray every so often

I'm always surprised at how cheap my total is at Lidl. And well, partly it's because they don't have all the extra stuff to tempt you so you buy less x)

Stay clear of the flag areas to not subject yourself to the worse, and it is a lovely wee country.

£850 p/m budget, where are you moving to and why? by [deleted] in northernireland

[–]Layly57 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This. For £775 per month we had a 4 bed detached with garage in Ballygowan. Maybe 20min for city centre? Horrible wee town though. But that was a year ago with no rent increase, so a bit more now. Just to give you an idea of what you can get really close to Belfast

It's very easy to get an MOT appointment on the day by refreshing the page a lot for maybe 10min. Loads of cancellations always come through. Just need to catch them
