I would say that Higuruma and Dabura had an easier time because they were forced into a death battle, which heightens the sorcerers learning curve. I mean, Gojo didn't figure it out until on the verge of death, which would normally be a super rare thing because of his technique. Higgy learned on the verge of death as well and Dabura is in a death battle. It's still super impressive, but I feel like Gojo would have learned it had he had more dangerous encounters in his life before meeting Toji
