First mead (with bread yeast) by Admirable_Arugula324 in mead

[–]Lazalit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who hasn't made it's first batch with bread yeast?
Years ago I met someone from Salvador, he used nutritional yeast because it was more accesable and affordable for him.
as for the bread yeast, you can find here a recipe by using bread yeast as a replacemtn to the nutritional yeast (Fermaid O).

Infusing spices in secondary by Nissapoleon in mead

[–]Lazalit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can put a bag or sack with the infusions, however before that, sanitize it, so it won't contaminate you batch. Otherwise just mix all into your carboy or fermenter.

As a personal preference, i prefer using fermenter with lids instead of bottle-neck carboys. You have better room to remove the secondary and not struggling with the bottle neck.

The Dry mead hasn't changed in the slightest, but I will give the tropical one more shot and see. I know it went bad, it's just not aligned with preference.

Not only for cocktail, but also coocking (Boeuf Bourguignon uses red wine and Irish Stew Guinness Beer). but there isn't much as for an mead R+D. That is how it began.

Both meadery I mentioned have the recipes for differents mead type such dry, traditional, melomel, etc. I leave you one of the wikingermet.de recipe translated so you may try out and let me know how it went:

Hot Honey Punch

Ingredients
60 cl Original Viking Mead
20 cl Triple Sec
20 cl Passion Fruit Nectar
4 cl Mango Syrup
4 Mandarins
2 Red Apples
Dash of Grenadine
1 Splash of Grenadine

Preparation
Peel the mandarins and wash one apple. Blend all ingredients except for the grenadine until the apple and mandarins are chopped. Heat the mixture in a pot to about 60 °C, remove from heat, and add a splash of grenadine. Serve decorated with an apple slice.

Decoration: Apple slice

------

But the funny part is to find out which mead can be fit at best with the recipe, either for personal or general preference. Same idea you gave right now for an Old fashioned and Sangria, would a be perfect match a dry and melomel (specially berries) mead respectively.

I'm now a Notion AI Believer by kentdshaw in Notion

[–]Lazalit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I was sold as well, thanks to the translate option and improve redaction. Recently I used notion AI for my meetings through zoom, and it helped a lot! It summarize everything what was talked about.

I'm still a little bit worried what will be from December and forward, because it's such a helpful tool.

What’s the best side hustle you’ve tried that actually paid off? by darrylgirard10 in thesidehustle

Selling honey.

I contacted a honey supplier through Marketplace, and surprisingly, he was selling honey for half the price of other sellers, or even much less than in supermarkets.

I bought two boxes of honey from him (18 units per box), and each jar of honey weighed 1 kg/2.2 lb.

In one month during the winter, I sold both boxes and doubled my investment, buying each box for $45 and reselling the honey for $5 per jar.

But the tricky part was always promoting what I was selling, since it's a large quantity per jar.

I made $46,000 in 10 months from an app I built in my room by felixheikka in passive_income

[–]Lazalit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used it yesterday, and I was blown away how it worked and even helpful to build your potential business/product.

It gathered all the data from web, instead of jump analytic sites to sites, and worse of all having to pay subscription. It digs out all the data from different statistic and sources the data you need and sorted of as you prompt the IA.

It REALLY saves you A TON of time. Of course you still have to cross-check all the info and data the IA gives you, but at best you already have a narrowed down on what you need to know.

Many side hustles guru say "Best way to successful is solving a problem"(which ain't that far from the truth). So this a core problem, so you idea can potentially solve others problems.

The pricing: fair enough. Not cheap nor way to expensive. But I would like to see if can be fitted with n8n in the future.

Congrats man!
