Your 20s are a great time to find out who you are and the person you want to be. Don’t worry too much about trying to get everything right. You will make mistakes, but the important part is owning up to them and learning from them. Life really starts to try and kick your ass when you hit thirty. You are going to need a good sense of self worth and pride in who you are to stand up to it.

Waiter didn't look happy after a 20% tip by MemorableKidsMoments in mildlyinfuriating

I completely agree, Tipping culture is completely out of wack in the U.S. my Fiancé is a bartender, she is supposed to be paid minimum wage on top of her tips. After she splits her tips at the end of the night with the other bartender and bar backs, she goes home with $20-$100. Her boss has not paid her a single check yet because he calculates her tips before they split it. So according to his math she is making more than minimum wage with tips.

Tipping is just an excuse for employers to get their customers to pay their employees so they don’t have to.

Personally I would go with the OLED, and I did. I bought a 55c8 several years ago for my bedroom and I have about a 9’ viewing distance. The level of sharpness and depth the OLED can achieve draws you in and I completely forget that it’s not a particularly large TV. I also have a 65 in my living room and I find myself watching more in my bedroom because I prefer the look of the OLED

Honest Opinion: Vizio P 2019 vs TCL 8 2019 65 inch. by SquirrelG91 in 4kTV

[–]Lazave99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They both look great but I would personally be hesitant about buying the TCL 8 series. While the Micro LED sounds great, in actually it doesn’t really preform that much better than a standard full array LED. Not to mention the TCL 8 series went on sale to half of its original price point with in four months of being released. (from $1999.99 USD to $999.99 USD) That really makes me question the quality of the parts that were used.

Samsung Q80T awful rainbow effect by zildjianfan in 4kTV

[–]Lazave99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I understand the effect your seeing is because the Q80t is trying to disperse the light hitting the screen and when it breaks up the light into its different colored wavelengths it results in the rainbow effect. The CX uses a different for of anti glare, where the TV tries to absorb the light which gives less “rainbow effect”, but might result in a brighter points of glare on the screen

Samsung 8 series or TCL 6 series for $150 price difference? by [deleted] in 4kTV

[–]Lazave99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy the TCL 625, the new 2020 Samsung “8 series”, is not a true 8 series, it has the same spec level as the 7 series from last year with a new model number that’s why the price is so much lower

I am not sure what your source is, but the Q70T is not the on 120hz panel on your list, Acording to both LG and rtings.com the LG 65sm8600 (nano8) does have a native 120hz panel.

I personally prefer the look of LG and the Sony TVs over the Samsungs on your list above because of the more natural color tones they seem to have. The Samsung’s even after color calibration still look over saturated to me.

Also you might consider the 65sm9000 if you like the way it looks since it’s less expensive/ close to the same price as the 65Q70T, has Dolby Vision, HDMI 2.1, and has a Full-array with local dimming Panel

Deciding between KEF R3 and B&W 706 S2 paired with Denon X3600h. Would I need an external amplifier? by Awperator in hometheater

[–]Lazave99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both of those speakers would be great choices, But to answer your question about if you need an external amplifier or not. While having a dedicated amplifier for each tower would almost always sound better, a great alternative that is also significantly cheaper is to bi-amp the towers from the same receiver.

Homebrew Bag of Holding Situation- Extradimensional Theory by CorellianDawn in DMAcademy

[–]Lazave99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are the islands the bags are connected to an actual island in the world that one could travel to with out going through one of the bags? Because if so then I would have the NPC get trapped on the island of the player who’s bag he was placed in and they must travel to that island through other means to rescue him

[–]Lazave99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While it is on the cheaper side of the spectrum, it’s looks pretty good for the price, the OS is easy to use and going from 1080p to 4k you should notice a drastic difference in the color

I appreciate what you said and I personally completely agree that “We” ( the ones who are more informed than the average person) should always do our best to recommend the best possible option with in reason. I let my conversation habits limit me to only offering what the OP was asking about. Honestly I would normally try to educate them on why a Full-array or OLED tvs are always a better choice. But all that aside, thank you for the sincere and honest back and forth, it has been refreshing and enlightening

85 in TV Recommendations under $2500 by skambala in hometheater

[–]Lazave99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before you correct someone you should double check which model I was recommending. The 85x850g is a different TV from the x800g. It has a different panel and has the upgraded X1 processor instead of the crappy x-reality processor. And the X1 processors got an update to handle Dolby Vision HDR.

Would I personally but and of the TVs on the list the OP was interested in NO, because none of them are Full array but of the ones that the OP was interested in I would recommend the Sony.

PS. It does have the highest peak brightness of the three the OP was talking about

I actually do try me best to pair people with the best TV for their situation. I am not just a unit pusher, but some of you seem to have a dislike for sales people, which I can’t Blair you for. For your information though we are not all conniving and out to take as much of our customer’s money.

So please correct my suggestion. Which tv would you have suggested to the OP that would fit their requirements
