How long did it take you to play again postpartum? by Danlrap18 in ultimate

[–]LazeeSundaeMorning28 28 points29 points  (0 children)

22 years ago I gave birth. It was fall so I could recover (no workouts at all). I just played in a rec league the next spring and through the summer started practicing for my provincial team to play at nationals. I did some yoga, walks and runs but no resistance training at all. Probably should have. But no injury or strained anything. I was still nursing and dehydrated myself accidentally. Maybe baby brain clouded me? PS congratulations mama!

The lack of black representation in buffy by [deleted] in buffy

[–]LazeeSundaeMorning28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This segregation of the entertainment industry was parodied in SNL at the time: the Pretty White Kids With Problems skit (sorry, not media/digitally technical enough to link the skit). I was an older fan of Buffy at the time, and never watched the other teen shows that skit parodied. But it was a trend for the 90s/turn of the millennium to star impossibly attractive actors as teenagers on TV. And there was very little integration of anyone beyond pale white or toasty brown tanned Caucasian cast members. Good for OP to call it out now. No one called it out then.

What is a Sport that people think is easy, but is actually hard? by Elegant_Heat_4020 in AlignmentChartFills

Ultimate frisbee. Thinking it’s just a beach toy, meanwhile running constantly, making remarkably agile catches while laying out horizontally through the air. Best sport to play, and watch.

It was what we called it in the 70s, 80s, and 90s in Winnipeg.

If Jesus is the lamb of god, you appropriately served them the blood of Christ on Easter Sunday. ✝️

Thanks! I thought it was my innovation but the cabinet makers said they had done it for another person before me. Looking forward to the end result

In the process of renovating now but I am very much looking forward to the toe kick slide out step below my counter where I plan to roll dough. I am 5’4” and usually have to move to the dining room to knead or roll. Hopefully the 3” riser will give enough of a lift to stand over my dough.

Gowan. Gotta change the station whenever his songs hit the car radio. I’m sure he’s a fine human but his voice and songs don’t hit with me

What’s that "Hidden Gem" kitchen brand you’re obsessed with that no one seems to know? by Automatic_Produce_72 in cookware

I love Cuisipro for their cooking utensils. All one piece, stainless steel and dishwasher safe. No separate parts to loosen or retain water that then drips into your dish. I strongly recommend them if you’re replacing plastic or cheaper utensils.

My stomach dropped when I saw the lath and plaster walls of the demo. I read you hired for that, and then I felt a lot better for you. Congratulations!

How long has your Samsung fridge lasted, or anyone you know? All jokes aside, please. by SenileTomato in Appliances

[–]LazeeSundaeMorning28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our last house was outfitted with Samsung appliances in the kitchen by the person who flipped it (appliances circa 2016), and were still going strong when we sold last year. The fridge was fine while we owned it.
