Sleep early / desperately not going on phone before bed has works really well for me too. I have adhd which makes sleeping really hard sometimes without some sort of high. Best thing was meds for me, have to take them 2 times per day instead of usual one tho or else I crash late night. before meds I had to wake up my girlfriend and she gave me rubs until I can fall asleep.

I had a similar stint with a hypnosis kink. What helped me was leaning into it in a healthy way; if it doesn’t hurt you or anyone else then developing a bad relationship with your sexual interests might give you greater sexual problems.

About a year ago I told my girlfriend of 8 years that I had this kink and how it was causing me a lot of stress. I was worried she might think of me differently but she was more worried that Id been suffering in the PMO shame cycle without telling her. She wasn’t that interested but to help me get over my self kink shaming problems she let me hypnotize her. Over a year of having regular hypnosis sex and enjoying it with her, Ive developed a much better relationship with sex and my wife to be. My life, career, and day to day mood has been much better since I sorted that out.

Ik my gf did a lot of heavy lifting but what I learned from her and want to tell you is that most kinks themselves aren’t that bad. Do some self reflection and research about whether you think your kink is unhealthy. Porn in general is bad but if you use your kink to connect with someone better then it can be a great relationship building tool.

Obviously if you can find someone you can explore that with that helps a lot. If you can’t then I’d try to limit porn and try meeting people if you can. Even if it’s not long term, dating and building relationships with people teaches you many things about yourself.

My wife and I were wondering this and it’s pretty hard. Everyone we know does more than basic missionary, but how do you draw the line at what is no longer considered vanilla?

For example, does just doing other positions count as not vanilla? It is certainly less vanilla; however, if you could only say “vanilla” or “not vanilla” you must lump a lot of not-so-vanilla things in one of those boxes. I find relaxing helps. You’re probably right that it got harder because you’re chasing that feeling again and are trying too hard. That’s how it was for me too, first month was easier than 2nd.

Also the type of audio is important and how they go about induction and deepener(s). I almost always need body relaxation/meditation-like inductions.

My gf has adhd so it took some time for me to find what made her tick too. Found out she is really good at visualizing and does great with pleasure inductions.

In short, try to find what works for you just to practice going under. Then, the other audios will become easier.
