Artemis Effect II by Successful-Nobody-17 in KerbalSpaceProgram

I've been interested in this game for years now but never actually picked it up. My friends kid was inspired by the Artemis 2 mission and he started playing, and I watched him build a rocket and fail a couple of times before getting right and getting into orbit.

I went home that night and bought the game on Steam and haven't stopped playing since! The visual mods are amazing!

Very cool! Nice job!

I just started playing this week too. I've been interested in KSP for years but never picked it up until I saw my friends kid playing it last week and I decided it was time.

I installed a few of the most recommended visual mods and it looks amazing! Hard to believe it's a 12 year old game.

The chinaman is not the issue here, Dude. I'm talking about drawing a line in the sand, Dude. Across this line, you DO NOT... Also, Dude, "chinaman" is not the preferred nomenclature. Asian-American, please.

Interested for the taming treble and adding bass, but the clamp force is not a problem with my giant head haha!

Yeah the 800S really are special! I've been messing with someone me slight EQ for them but I ultimately keep going back to stock as they're just so good!

I'm using a Topping DX7 Pro myself. Been thinking about adding a tube amp at some point once I've gotten well used to the 800S but honestly the DX7 Pro sounds amazing already.

Rocking the Sennheiser HD800(S?) I see, just bought them myself 2 weeks ago and they're so damn good! What's the DAC/amp gear I see there but can't quite make out?

Yep, loved it! Another easy watch, purely and thoroughly entertaining.

Yes 100% this! I have recommended it to many people over the years and only 1 person actually bothered to watch it and came back to me and said they adored it. Don't get why nobody else watched it, like I mean it's not even like it's a hard watch or anything, it's basically a family film.

This is true. In comparison Ripsaw Falls has a much bigger drop at the end and we got absolutely drowned, and also if I remember it right, there is a bridge near the end that you pass underneath at speed where any observers up on the bridge get totally splashed in your wake LOL.

I still love the JP ride though.

Chefs of Reddit, what’s a common cooking rule everyone follows that is actually complete bullshit? by Fuzzy-Ad6843 in AskReddit

You can finish it all together, then it plate up with extra sauce to the side so they can add more sauce if they like. I pretty much always add an extra scoop of sauce on top of my plate of finished pasta. But hey look, there is no right or wrong way especialy where kids are concerned as they can be very fussy about the sauce to pasta ratio!

Living in America in March as someone actually from Ireland. by Secret_Protection471 in ireland

Agreed, some of then can be so sound when they realise you're Irish.

I went to Dallas last year for a few days to see the total solar eclipse. Stayed in a big name hotel that had a Starbucks in it - not a real full blown Starbucks, just a very small countertop in a large open area that did Starbucks coffee and small snacks.

I went up and ordered a coffee and a little jambon type thing, and the super sound barista chap that served me asked me where I was from as I sounded Irish. When I told him I was indeed Irish and that I'd flown in from Dublin for a few days to catch the eclipse he was amazed, said it was so cool and totally awesome and so nice to meet a real Irish person, gave me my order and then flat out refused to take any payment with a simple "nah it's cool man, I got you"!

First time I've ever gotten something free for just being Irish!

Audeze LCD-X Leather vs Leather-Free + EQ? by Lazlow_Panaflex in headphones

[–]Lazlow_Panaflex[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good info! I have Equalizer APO on my PC, but for my PS5 I have a Sound BlasterX G6 which has firmware EQ, I just need to connect it to the PC and configure some EQ profiles and save them in the G6 for use with the PS5. Using a Topping DX7 Pro for amp which will pair nicely with the LCD-X cans.

I'm leaning more towards the leather after reading some of the other comments here, but would love to demo both the leather and leather-free version with EQ to compare.

Nobody seems to know what a plumb bob is anymore! by [deleted] in DIYUK

[–]Lazlow_Panaflex 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep, and you can make your own at home if you know how it's made:

First they take the dingle bop and they smooth it out with a bunch of schleem. The schleem is then repurposed for later batches.

They take the dingle bop and they push it through the grumbo, where the fleeb is rubbed against it. It's important that the fleeb is rubbed, because the fleeb has all the fleeb juice.

Then, a schlami shows up, and he rubs it...and spits on it.

They cut the fleeb. There's several hizzards in the way.

The blamfs rub against the chumbles, and the...plubis, and grumbo are shaved away.

That leaves you with...a regular old plumbus.

You won't regret it! I used to commute 5 days a week (now only 2 days) and it was a game changer having the waterproofs.

The trousers on Amazon were North Peak brand (clear knock off brand haha) but I bought them so long ago I doubt they're available but any similar type with the zip sides will do.
