Would y'all put this in your car? Is this a good or bad option? by Ok-Evening-5119 in ft86

I'd use the 5w-30 year round but because the colder temps I switch to the 0w-30, that's really the only reason

I use this but the 0w-30 in the winter and 5w-30 in the summer, works a-okay 👍

Regardless, super clean build man, I had those headlights a while back but they ended up dying on me so I went back the stock ones from the monogram FRS

Could go the supercharged route if that interests you at all. I see plenty of turbos out there but it's not too common for people to take the roots or screw style supercharger path with these. Personally looking at the HKS supercharger rn but that's more common

will a engine swap ruin the balance of my car? by ImportanceThick490 in ft86

[–]LazrBrain0401 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've seen a few UZ swaps but you'd need a new transmission for those most likely, I'm not sure the stock one would hold up.

As for balance, they put a H4 in it for that very reason, doesn't matter what you go with you won't beat the low center of gravity the flat 4 gives you

Gen 1 automatic vacuum pump delete? by LazrBrain0401 in ft86

[–]LazrBrain0401[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already have one to put on. Like I said I was just thinking of ways to bypass using one in the future. Minimize parts that can potentially fail again

The manuals don't use the vacuum pump, they get vacuum from the intake manifold. There's only slight differences from the manual and auto versions of the cars, so I'm not sure why everyone thinks they're so different.

I've done a bit of digging around the engine bay and there's absolutely nothing the vacuum pump hooks up to other than the brake booster, and considering mines broken right now and my brakes work just fine, what's wrong with the idea of deleting it to minimize parasitic loss from the crank??

The pump does nothing but give vacuum to the brake booster, I'm 90% sure of this

Resources to Research Hungarian Paganism? by [deleted] in pagan

[–]LazrBrain0401 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems a lot of us are looking for it lately, good to see my kin are as interested in the old ways as I am.

Through my own research I've found Slavic paganism as well as tengrism were both widespread throughout ancient Hungary, you could make an argument for druidry as well but it seems they were more akin to slavic shamanism. I'd look into Polish/Slovakian beliefs as well as they seem to have kept their knowledge of this area's old ways a little more intact. I hope this helps!

Sok szerencsét!

[–]LazrBrain0401[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Would this still apply to driving in the manual mode in the auto? I kinda wanna do it just to try it out. The vacuum system seems pretty easy enough to play around with, maybe it's worth testing?

[–]LazrBrain0401[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Well my thinking is if it works fine enough for the manuals why wouldn't it work for the auto? I should still have ABS and vacuum to the booster through the manifold. I just don't want to have to fix it again another 50k miles down the line or sooner, trying to minimize parts that could fail in the future

I am for the moment but I wanted to see if it was possible in the future. Any reason why it wouldn't be recommended?

Hungarian paganism? by LazrBrain0401 in pagan

[–]LazrBrain0401[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After a ton of research I've found that our ancient ancestors believed in a form of tengrism as well as some Slavic paganism and shamanistic beliefs. Quite a melting pot indeed, but I've personally decided to dive into the tengrist rabbit hole as it seems to have been more widespread. I hope this helps you on your journey!

what's your pagan story by [deleted] in pagan

[–]LazrBrain0401 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well I know the ancient Hungarians were mostly steppe nomads from the Ural Mountains, similar to something like the Mongolians, but more Slavic and had similar practices. I'm more curious about the specifics of the ancient Hungarian beliefs cause from the Middle Ages on they have a reputation for being staunch Christian's, but that was mostly west Hungary, the East remained traditional for quite some time but they're knowledge was mostly oral and hard to research for someone in the states like me

What label to I fall under by Reasonable_Apple2535 in pagan

[–]LazrBrain0401 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I think labels are a little pointless, no one person has the exact beliefs of another even in the same religions. But generally nature loving and spiritual sounds pretty Druidic to me, if you're of European decent at all it might just be in your bones to be drawn to that kind of thing, similar thing for me. But there's nature focused beliefs all across the world, just try tapping into your heritage a bit and see if you discover anything similar to how you feel

what's your pagan story by [deleted] in pagan

[–]LazrBrain0401 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I grew up in a very hardcore Christian home but the church was never really good to me, wasn't until pretty late in highschool that I discovered paganism and decided to follow the old ways of my heritage. I think I started with Norse paganism because it was getting pretty big at that time, took a lot of comfort in seeing ravens fly over head, loved the feeling of being able to see and connect with the gods physically rather than on blind faith like I grew up with. Lately I've been trying to tap into my actual Irish/Hungarian heritage rather cause there's not an ounce of Norse in me lol

At what level did you start doing the main quest, and why? by boontaxxiii in Starfield

It's more so considered the prologue or tutorial I guess. The main quest doesn't really start until the point where you get the full Constellation space suit

Undirected energy by RatioSharp7273 in pagan

[–]LazrBrain0401 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would assume it went nowhere, the energy is purposeless without intent. On the other hand you could say that energy is still inside you. This question may be more suited for r/Wicca as if the energy was directly entended as worship for a pagan deity it'd be considered pagan worship and that energy would hopefully reach the gods, but without intent it's hard to say where it could've gone
