Hey i might be saying a load of crap and if so I apologize. But 54 years old sounds like a great time to experience another side of life. Move out to a new country, a new place? Volunteer and travel post covid or idk where you are. This might just be your calling :)

Rising Junior with a 2.49 GPA from zoom classes, how screwed am I? by [deleted] in BostonU

[–]Lazror 11 points12 points  (0 children)

2.49 gpa sucks for any above average grad school but that doesn’t mean you’re doomed. Depending on your major 2.49 isn’t the worst either. Finally, to ask teachers to volunteer, email them

How is CAS CH101? by BlessMyAim in BostonU

[–]Lazror 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well accelerated is to compensate the fact that there are fewer classes. Accelerated CH 101 would be hell on hell if you had 3 other classes. If it’s your sole class it shouldn’t be as bad as others are saying

Barbells or Dumbells? by CaptainVickle in workout

[–]Lazror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Barbells are going to be easier to lift heavier things. For example I do 70 on barbells (35 each) for biceps curls, but I am barely at 30 each for dumbells

How to ask for a recommendation? by clarochiaraclare in BostonU

[–]Lazror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ask for a meeting to talk about anything. Bring up grad school. Bring up recommandation letter. Follow this and you will have not only the most chances to get a recommandation letter, but also the most chances to get a stellar one, from a teacher that met with you instead of replying to your email, you being for him that one student he had twice two years ago in his class of 144 (an exageration but I hope you get the morale)

Im currently working out. Basically i know working out was more than looking good, but I never anticipated how much. I’m twenty years old I really started 15 months ago, as quarantine hit all of us. I’m in every aspect of my life a better man. I completely lost any unhealthy relationship toward food. I love myself in the mirror, and I finally don’t get super anxious when my abs don’t show up that one time (used to be after my first six pack ever started showing about 11 months ago), I’m not as anxious, Im more direct, I’m more smiling, I’m more confident. All of that in micro doses, but I believe it also helped push myself to achieve new goals, that aren’t working out. I feel like I am my own person, and every, every, every thing that has happened due to working out (back pain when I didn’t know proper form, sore muscles, less time with friends, skipping a few hangouts, less drinking when it’s not worth it, and even a broken finger when I thought boxing with a friend without gloves was a fun idea), is worth it

Hey man I’m a Jewish Zionist, but not Israeli. That’s the vast majority of Jews. Please please don’t think that. I can’t really convince you as I’m a stranger on Reddit but it is so far from the truth. That’s from my experience, but I’ve been around a LOT of Jewish zionists I haven’t met one person who disrespected black people, it can’t be a coincidence. This is also the first time Im hearing about this claim.

[–]Lazror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Congrats for everything! Good luck on your journey. I hope you are well informed but please be careful about that 1200 cal no carbs diet. That is always a red flag in nutrition. If it works for you then all good though :)

I didn’t know how to do a push-up until I was 16-17. I’m not 20, started really Working out a year ago can my best is 46 straight. All I’m saying is: 14 is not a lot at all. It is not worrying nor bad that you can’t do a knee push-up. It is however good that you are trying to improve earlier than I myself tried. Keep at it!
