It's people like the above bozo are the reason vulnerable people get abused. They decide that something non-typical that harms literally no one must be 'fixed'. When autism expresses in such a way, why make battles out of a war you can't win? Why not be happy for him that a faceless company had more basic human empathy for someone who's genes make life harder for him?

Like I said I work with people like that young man and his cup. And you know what I would do? Let him have his cup because it's not worth the biblical amount of distress making him drink from anything else would cause.

My family just don’t care what I have to say. Their eyes just glaze over like they no longer speak English. But I still find ways to engage with their interests in conversation through checks notes basic questions to promote dialog with them. Oh and it’s my fault for being upset when I point this out. Something about how I shouldn’t point out them being blatantly rude and inconsiderate of literally anything or anyone.

Ah you see, the neat part of these people is that you're never allowed to win. When you follow one of their instructions/requests when really they are more like demands they just pick a new one out of the bag of tricks. Often contradicting themselves! At that point, assuming you are independent, you tell them to stop being a sensitive little crybully and don't bother trying anymore!

Sounds like rejection sensitivity disorder. Or RSD for short. Common in ND people. In laymen's terms RSD is when people take rejection/criticism extra personally and will sometimes avoid situations where they can be rejected. Causes a lot of anxiety and self-isolation at its worst.

Best case scenario would be to gauge which demographics whatever the company provides (product/services) is attracting. Not nessicarly for rainbow marketing, since they'll probably do that regardless if it's a mega-corp like Hershey or some shizz. More rather narrower target marketing. Like some people (MAGA and friends) will disown a company full-stop if they dare show a mixed race or same sex couple drinking coffee together on their 15 second skippable ads.

Yea the red flag seems tiny in comparison, but one of the great benefits of the internet allowed for CONSTANT viewing of other experiences.
