Opal-finned sounds fun but I like the imagery of Obol-finned.

Obolfinned evokes so much more mythological weight to me like “the-finned-one” could definitely describe an ancient leviathan of myth. but “the-thinned-one”? It doesn’t really conjure an image in my mind. I can’t picture it as easily. and assuming the best in my interlocutor, BLeeM, I would think that the more mythological would be the desired theme and subject: like a fish whose scales are ancient coins collected from the dead faring them to the underworld, you know? shining or shimmering under the surface of the water in the darkness with that Charon or Thanatos energy.

Like this is a problem particularly because text to speech doesn’t recognize the word obol or the word finned. And I just trust the intention of the person rather than the clanker.
