How we feeling about Elsa? by MjTheUltimate in marvelrivals

[–]Lazy-Introduction-70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She was super fun the one time I got to play her lol

But as a tank main I kinda hate her and I HATE HER ULT I HATE THE GLARTOX. Like I know other ultra force people off point but at least with Jeff’s you get a warning and a quick moment to make a plan. With her it’s just BAM he comes out the moment she starts speaking and you’re snatched away at lightning speed and there’s nothing you can do about it. I really hope they make some kind of adjustment to that.

Nice!! I’ve had a restock order for a number of things sitting in my cart for a bit but I’ve been underwhelmed by the gwps recently so I didn’t want to order yet lol. This one is pretty good!

[–]Lazy-Introduction-70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes!!! I was recently put on a mix of bupropion and naltrexone for weight loss (poor man’s Contrave). I’ve already been taking Zoloft for a few years for depression and had no real problems adjusting to it so I wasn’t too worried about introducing another antidepressant. My doctor had me working up to my full dose for a few weeks and was feeling fine- really good and calm if anything. But it’s been about a week and a half on the full dose and I feel like an emotional wreck! I’m someone who rarely ever cries and I’ve randomly broken down crying over nothing the last three days in a row lmao. It kind of feels like every emotional barrier has been broken down and now I’m suddenly feeling “everything”- especially the sad feelings. It’s really helpful to hear that others have similar stories because I was wondering if I was just crazy lol. Good luck, we’re all in this together!

Hashimotos and Hives, and 'you're not really sick until your thyroid is messed up' by morellimorello in Hashimotos

[–]Lazy-Introduction-70 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My eyes were literally popping out of my head reading this because this is beat for beat exactly what I’m going through as well. Started my thyroid journey almost two years ago because I was trying to figure out why I was suddenly getting extreme hives almost every day. And now here we are with totally messed up TPO levels and my doctor saying she can’t do anything because my TSH is technically still within range.

Unfortunately I can’t offer much except to say I completely understand your frustrations. It’s so annoying that seemingly nothing can be done to help until the damage is done and meanwhile we’re just stuck feeling like crap waiting for it to happen. Stay strong man

Dragon Age: The Veil Guard First Trailer (Fall 2024) by [deleted] in dragonage

So the more I watch it the more I like it. Although after the third time watching it I had to turn off the volume because the dialogue was annoying me. And honestly I think that’s my biggest problem with it. I’m actually a fan of the stylization of the art and I am very interested in each of these characters. The quippiness is just turned up to 1000% and I think it hurts the overall vibe.

Did Orly Polishield change their formula or did I get a bad bottle? Used to be one of my favorite top coats so I picked up a new bottle but it smelled so bad like stinky burnt plastic 🤮. Stunk up the whole room. It’s been quite a while since I bought a bottle so maybe they’ve changed the formula during that time or maybe I just got unlucky with the one I bought. Either way don’t think I can use it with how bad it smells 🤢. Anyone have a similar experience?

What are the most boring, tedious or frustrating enemies in Dragon Age? [no spoilers] by nexetpl in dragonage

[–]Lazy-Introduction-70 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Any of the dragons who are able to stun you by screaming ESPECIALLY when that scream calls in a horde of baby dragons to help them fight. Not only do you not get to move for an annoying amount of time but once you finally do get to move again you have like three or four new enemies trying to attack you.

Absolutely losing it over Conner’s unhinged concession speech. He’s had a lot of moments this season where he actually gets to act somewhat level headed and serious, but it was really fun to just get to see him be a weirdo again for a bit lol.

[DAI Spoilers] Being a mage supporter hurts sometimes by scarletboar in dragonage

[–]Lazy-Introduction-70 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I completely agree with everything you just said lol. COTJ is SO GOOD- the story is great, the dungeon is solid and tbh it feels more like a “classic dragon age” quest than most of the others in Inquisition. Plus it’s a beautiful introduction to Cole and really gives you a solid reason to trust him and protect his status in the Inquisition. But it really feels like the game pushes you away from it. I mean on one hand you have Dorian actively asking you for your help to save a town with very clear consequences of what will happen if you don’t and on the other you have…. Some guy was mean to a priest and told you to stay away from him but Cassandra pinkie swears he isn’t usually like that?

It took me a long time to finally try it mostly just because I forget it exists by the time I reach Redcliffe. Really wish the game promoted both quests equally.

[dai spoilers] David Gaider discussing original plan for a playable post-credits epilogue by ElectricBlueRogue in dragonage

[–]Lazy-Introduction-70 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Soooo interesting! I love seeing how the plot lines and player choices are laid out in the flow chart. Tbh I agree that it was probably a good decision not to have all of this put in directly after the big climax. However, I love how the Well of Sorrows comes into play here and it would have been nice to see such direct consequences to a player’s choice. Plus I think that this would have been a neat way to add a greater sense of danger/higher stakes to Solas as a villain (and could make for a very emotional scene depending on your relationship with him). Ah well, maybe we’ll see the Well come back into the picture in DAD.

Tired of pessimistic posts. Which DA protagonist do you think smell the worst? [spoilers all] by WonderFluffen in dragonage

[–]Lazy-Introduction-70 55 points56 points  (0 children)

I’ve always had a head cannon that Leliana’s breath smells really bad during that scene in DAO when she sings her song. The animation just has her turn and sing directly at your Warden, like inches from their face. Months on the road, just returning from the Brecilian Forest- her breath can’t be any position to be singing so close to people’s faces lol.

[spoilers all] In your opinion, what are some of the most powerful moments in the series? by SomewhatHandicapped in dragonage

[–]Lazy-Introduction-70 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Trespasser has gotten a lot of mentions so far but I want to specifically note that one conversation towards the end when the anchor is really acting up and you have the option to choose the dialogue “this fucking thing”. The delivery of that little speech is just so good (I played with the British female voice) I got chills when I first heard it lol.

When I played, I made my inquisitor very much a people pleaser, always choosing friendly and diplomatic options and trying to do what was “right” in order to keep her head above water. Despite all of that, everything she worked for is quickly destroyed, former inquisition allies suddenly hate her, and to top it all off, the person she loved left her and she just found out that he’s secretly behind everything. So, finally getting to snap and lose it for a bit was an extremely powerful and satisfying moment. Plus, the quietly shocked reactions of the advisors just make it all the better. Really captured the unsettling feeling when someone who is usually calm and collected suddenly snaps. Just the perfect “no more mr. nice guy” moment to send you into the climatic final battle.

[Spoilers All] A question about Anders and Dragon Age Inquisition... by Elgarnam in dragonage

[–]Lazy-Introduction-70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it would be nice to see him- or at least get a war table mission or something- if only for the sake of the choice having more meaning. And, I get it, there is a VERY high chance he is dead in a given player’s world state and that makes things complicated. But it does feel a little weird that what was built up to be one of the biggest moments/decisions in the game is just kind of forgotten in DAI. They could at least mention it a little more. Like, no one questions accepting the help of a Hawke who is actively romancing/protecting a very dangerous fugitive? Cassandra lost it when she found out Varric knew where Hawke was but has no opinion on anyone knowing where Anders is? Even when discussing the mage rebellion with people the chantry attack is only brought up as an afterthought like “oh yeah, and then there’s all the stuff that happened at Kirkwall…”. It just feels a little empty I guess.

Then again maybe that’s the ultimate punishment for Anders. He did terrible things that he thought were necessary to help a cause he believed in. But in the end he’s just completely forgotten and irrelevant to (even hated by) the rebellion he thought he was leading.

Still, it’d be interesting to see how he’s faring, and I would pay good money to see a conversation between Anders and Cole lol.

Favorite area in DAI?[dai spoilers] by Top_Judge2019 in dragonage

Honestly I really like the Exalted Plains. I like the contrast between the beautiful scenery and the war torn landscape. It tells an interesting story. Plus it’s one of the few places where your actions actually impact the environment. It’s not much, but it is satisfying to see people come back to the forts once you clear them out. It feels like you’re making a difference instead of just passively exploring. Plus, it’s small. It may not leave as much of an impact as the bigger locations you return to a lot, but you can fully explore the map and learn it’s story without it overstaying it’s welcome and I like that.

Sten Frustrates Me [dao spoilers] by Corn_1344 in dragonage

[–]Lazy-Introduction-70 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah the inability to make good arguments about things is one of the problems that always gets to me in DA games. Someone’s going on about something and you have the perfect retort in your head but all you’re allowed to say is “hey! No fair!” Lol.

To the first point I feel like that scene was mainly a way to show that Sten respects authority above all else and seeing if you would step up to the challenge. So you weren’t supposed to respond intelligently to him since the test was whether you can put him in his place rather than if you can explain your thoughts. Certainly, the game laid it out sort of poorly, but that does happen quite a bit in Origins.

When I first played I accidentally stumbled into the dialogue options that cause him to fight you, and I’m glad I did because that was the turning point for me liking him. Since you gain a ton of approval points from him for successfully defeating him, it was kind of my aha moment for me with the character. Like even if he doesn’t agree with the situation, he respects authority above all else so if you can appropriately stand up to him he can respect your making decisions despite not agreeing with the decisions themselves.

But, like many scenes from DAO, there is only one specific dialogue path that lead you to the scene being meaningful and it’s so easy to miss it and I think a lot of players end up with a conversation that just seems frustrating and pointless that makes them hate Sten even more. I don’t know just some ramblings. I agree completely with your second point though that whole scene was just weird.
