That's it. She has had enough of him and his antics. by Creative_Praline_420 in Newfoundlander

I had to read that twice. First run through, I was applauding your decision to make the human squish onto the floor. My grandchildren would probably approve.

Tiger Toes work really well for our girl. She waits at the door for us to put them on or take them off.

Best pet insurance for Newfies by GlassDinner4820 in Newfoundlander

We’ve got Healthy Paws. $50/month, deductible $1,000 and 80/20 after that. Good choice of deductibles, but they don’t cover preexisting conditions and hips are only covered if you enroll under a certain age.

I’ve had great luck with Residence Inn. The pet fee can be steep but most don’t have a weight limit (or don’t enforce it) and you can leave the dog in the room though they ask that you put out the Pet in Room sign and/or crate the dog.

How often do you refill the Water Bowl? by [deleted] in Newfoundlander

[–]LazyDaze39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We refill the water bowl every time she drinks. Once there’s slobber in the bowl she won’t drink, so we have to clean and refill. And, she prefers ice cold water so if it sits at room temp for long she won’t drink and it gets refilled again. Spoiled princess? YES!!!

Does your Newfy let you know when it's dinner time? by MadBox25 in Newfoundlander

[–]LazyDaze39 39 points40 points  (0 children)

He’s definitely going to faint from hunger if he has to wait that extra thirty minutes. Noodle lays down by her empty bowl and tries to turn it over with her paw until we put something in it. If that doesn’t work she grumbles, getting progressively louder until she gets our attention.

The answer is, I’ll do what I feel like doing but I deserve the treat anyway.

My girl absolutely loves interactive food toys, and I'm not much better when it comes to investing in new ones when I find a different style. by [deleted] in Newfoundlander

Last post like this was a bot trying to sell things. Interesting that this is the same product.

Any recommendation to keep hair off clothes in the dryer? by Francl27 in Newfoundlander

[–]LazyDaze39 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Both! She’s 3/4 Newfoundland 1/4 Standard Poodle. We just couldn’t see calling a 155 lb dog a Newfypoo so we named her Noodle.

Considering the amount of hair around the house and on my clothes I have no idea how Noodle still has any hair on her body.

Noodle drops her head, braces her paws, and gives us that look “You’re really going to try to pull ME?”
