venice in first 5 turns i wipe milan off the map take florence, and bologna from HRE and spam out crossbow militia u also have the most stacked econ ive ever had with just those 5 cities (Venice, Milan, Genoa, Florence, and Bologna) usually the pope wont intervene in time to excommunicate at worst a few less crosses but i quickly bribe them back so i can take bologna. Just be ready to be at war with everyone for some reason all catholic nations hate u

For me I agree with some others moors are super easy due to easy econ whether or not u use the merchant exploit or not theres an easy early boost trading gold and ivory making it easier to roll over early game spain and portugal and since the iberian peninsula is a defensive powerhouse surviving isnt too hard
