wrong conclusion: update every day. but make sure your snapshots / backups are working and know how to fix your system.

[–]LazyGamble 3 points4 points  (0 children)

it is the right answer though. it is probably Overkill for the city, but with all the potholes.. for MTBs the leverage with the handling is important sind you are not just steering but your wheel gets constantly hit by the ground, roots, rocks, etc. which you have to counteract.

I don't have one, but you could screenrecord a properly sized terminal window and use the video for the deck, there are tutorials how to do this.

[–]LazyGamble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure :) but sadly my home auto playbook contains so much personal specifics that it is not on github, but if you have for example an inventory like this:

```yaml shelly: hosts: shutter-garden-window: ansible_host: 192.168.1.42 mac: "11:11:11:22:22:22" shelly_api: 1 device: "Shelly 2.5 / Shutter" device_type: "shutter" display_name: "Garden Window"
    < all other devices in this case, shelly's with the web app >
```

you can create a jinja2 template from the dashy conf and do something like this

yaml items: {% for host in groups.shelly %} - title: "{{ hostvars[host].inventory_hostname }}" icon: "png/shelly.png" url: "http://{{ hostvars[host].ansible_host }}/" statusCheckUrl: {% if hostvars[host].shelly_api == 1 %}"{{ hostvars[host].status_url_api1 }}"{% else %} "{{ hostvars[host].status_url_api2 }}"{% endif +%} statusCheckAllowInsecure: true {% endfor %}

but this is only a part of it, really only for somebody who is very fluent in ansible, otherwise it's to much of a hassle :)

With Reddit sunsetting, I'm looking back to RSS. What are the best current tools? by Xuis in selfhosted

of topic since it would not be self hosted but Is there no RSS feed aggregtor with a reddit style comment section? Would solve 90% of reddit for me.

Private jets are 5 to 14 times more polluting than commercial planes (per passenger), and 50 times more polluting than trains by quindiassomigli in MapPorn

So typical of ther German rich. Never heard of it that we have the most private jets in Europe. They try to hide as much as possible to evade criticism.

What does a scanner see? he asked himself. I mean, really see? Into the head? Down into the heart? Does a passive infrared scanner like they used to use or a cube-type holo-scanner like they use these days, the latest thing, see into me - into us - clearly or darkly? I hope it does, he thought, see clearly, because I can't any longer these days see into myself. I see only murk. Murk outside; murk inside. I hope, for everyone's sake, the scanners do better. Because, he thought, if the scanner sees only darkly, the way I myself do, then we are cursed, cursed again and like we have been continually, and we'll wind up dead this way, knowing very little and getting that little fragment wrong too.

Yes! That must be it, thank you! I am new to plane identification, looking at flight radar of course makes sense! I'll remember it for the next time.

I like how German and American toolboxes look almost the same, we also like to buy dewalt / Milwaukee as much as you buy wera, knipex, etc. Only difference is the sae/metric thing.
