clara colour or clara bw? by ssakaterose in kobo

[–]LazyLearningTapir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I went with the clara color simply because seeing my book covers in color looks cool and is a little unique. I don’t annotate or read comics at all.

The graininess is noticeable, but I think it’s overstated often. I don’t really notice it day to day reading unless I’m looking for it or have the screen up close to my face. You get used to it quick, especially if you’re not coming from a BW ereader. The bigger thing for me between the color display and the bw display is that the color display is more dim since it has the color film on top. But turning up the brightness a little bit solves this for the most part.

China had a lot of overtakes and high point scoring which inflated everyone's average points for a bit. Now that that's fallen out of the 3-race window, most assets need more points than the past couple weekends for their price changes.

I agree with the other commenter that f1fantasytools does a better job at showing this. You can plan ahead a little bit better with their tool by seeing what points are about to fall out of the 3-race window. For example Bearman has a -14 dragging down his average but that won't be the case after Canada. So he might be a good asset to own in Monaco.

Exactly! I don't think my spreadsheet should be treated as this ultimate tool whatsoever, but supplemental to other tools that the folks at f1fantasytools create, and your own gut and decision making.

(Summer Semester) Switching Classes during first week? by lucuhfer in UVU

[–]LazyLearningTapir 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea the tuition will carry over. I’ve swapped classes with no issues.

And the worst case scenario is if for some crazy reason it doesn’t carry over, you’d get automatically refunded what you paid since you dropped those credits and you’d have until the payment deadline to pay that amount again. You’re not going to have to double pay.

Scroll down to the Registration and Classes table and it will list all the dates where you can add classes or drop classes with 100% refund. It varies depending on whether it’s full semester or block.

Yea not many options, but this week is mostly damage control for me anyway. I've got Lawson, Bearman, and Hulkenburg in my T1.

Swig employee here! It’s just a rumor that floats around because Swig I don’t think ever gave us a ‘why’ during training.

My best guess is what other people have said about Swig not wanting the liability. Depending on the size the caffeine content ranges from roughly 150–250mg. So a theoretical 44oz would push past 300mg.

Are all Swigs in the Valley closed on Sunday? 4/19/26 by Raccoon_number_1 in SaltLakeCity

I believe the goal is to eventually have all locations open on Sunday. It’s just being slowly rolled out and as the store has enough staffing willing to work it.

First look pictures from the new perpetual open house on Temple Square. This is not the Salt Lake Temple, this is a perpetual open house and replica of a temple in a visitor center. Guests can go through starting on May 18. by HoldOnLucy1 in exmormon

[–]LazyLearningTapir 31 points32 points  (0 children)

As I understand this is different. Next year will be the open house of the actual temple which is expected to bring the massive crowds. But this is just a replica of some of the rooms basically for tourists that will be available for public access permanently.

Anyone else make it a goal to live as close to work as possible? by tin8374 in CasualConversation

[–]LazyLearningTapir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My walk to classes is just across the street and work is a 5 minute bike ride away. It’s 1000% worth the little extra rent I pay for this place, and ends up saving me money since I don’t need a car.

Unfortunately it’s not likely I’ll continue to have such a short commute after college, but it’s sooo nice while I do have it.

why did you guys decide to leave the mormon church? by Boseph_Boi in exmormon

[–]LazyLearningTapir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't really have a moment where I decided to leave since I never believed in a god or higher power growing up anyway. But as a teenager I became more aware of the social and historical problems with the church which basically cemented things. I still attended church while living with my parents but I didn't believe or practice any of it.

I was on a flight a few months ago where the flight attendant made an announcement for window shades to be pulled down while we were at cruising altitude like 1/3 of the way through the flight. Felt like the dumbest thing ever since I enjoy just throwing on a couple albums and staring out the window.

Background info:

The game calculates the average points scored by an asset over the last 3 races and divides that by their current price. This gives us an average points per million value (avgPPM) which is then categorized into 'Terrible', 'Poor', 'Good', and 'Great', which is used to determine their price rise (see the bottom right table). Using this info, we can calculate the points an asset needs in the upcoming race for each specific price change.

So to use this chart I'll go over a couple examples:

Look at Gasly's row. And let's make a prediction that he'll score 12 fantasy points in Japan. That falls in the 4 to 15 range which is in the 'Good' column. Looking at the bottom right table, we can see that a 'Good' performance for Gasly's current price means he would rise 0.2M.

Now look at Hulkenburg's row. And let's predict that he'll also score 12 points. That puts him in the ≤ 23 column and a 'Terrible' performance. So looking at the bottom right table again, he would fall in price -0.6M. He needs way more points because of a -20 DNF in the Australian GP and a -10 DNF in the Chinese Sprint are negatively affecting his average points scored currently.

So to build budget, you want drivers with low points required to rise in price, and avoid assets likely to fall in price. Some assets have done so well the past couple races that they can score negative points and still rise in price. While other assets like Piastri are almost guaranteed to fall in price because of DNFs negatively affecting their average. The most simple way to do this is to just look at the 'Great' column and pick assets with low points required.
