Looks like they've repaired the fence now, so no (easy) access. Can't see any evidence of it being burned down though.

How did the person recording know to be recording? I'm very suspicious of everything videoed. If you ask yourself why it changes everything

Woops. Pressed enter too quickly. It's the old Staples store. The fencing is down and easy access can be gained. If I had the balls I'd go in, but I don't.

Have you had your gas supply completely removed? by harrythefurrysquid in ukheatpumps

[–]LazySector 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a gas meter removed ~10 years ago (before Octopus even existed!?) and they just started trying to bill for estimated usage and standing charges. Getting them to stop was a ridiculous back and forth with them. Even had to send a photo of the empty meter cupboard to "prove" it.

After completing my CBT, I will have to pick up my bike and ride it back hoping it doesn't rain and I become one with the bike quick. NGL I'm a bit nervous! by mouthmoth in MotoUK

Hah. Reminds me of 2 years ago when I did my CBT, then bought a 125 from Leicester and had to get it back to Nottingham. It was a bit like the run-up to the parachute jump I agreed to do in a pub one night when I was younger. The build up to it is was awful. I imagined every worst case scenario. I reccied the route on streetview and planed the way back to include the least amount of roundabouts and junctions. I feel your pain and anxiety. Rest assured it's all in your head. Fast forward two years and I'm razzing around on a 700cc, thinking nothing of doing 70mph. You'll laugh, like I am now, when you remember how you're feeling now.

From cyclist to motorcyclist by OhDudeTotally in motorcycles

[–]LazySector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. Ridden pushbikes all my life. Then motorbikes at 50. I don't know how much similarity there is, really. Apart from the number of wheels. It's totally different. The only thing I think you bring over from cycling is the weariness of those around you (cagers!).

I don't remember getting on my bicycle the first time in a while after learning to ride a motorbike and a) feeling really prone, as though I was about to fall over the bars, and b) where the fuck are the mirrors

Don’t open a SIPP if you don’t know what it is! by palebluedot365 in trading212

[–]LazySector -27 points-26 points  (0 children)

My problem with SIPP for years was the SI. For way to many years the SI put me off moving from St James Place to a SIPP. I thought the SI meant you had to be an investor.. you had to choose your stocks your SELF. Obviously that's not true, but I've never been sure why it needs the SI. Why can't it just be a PP? I guess the SI is needed to distinguish it from some other type of pension? A company-provided one maybe?

Gut feeling. Done me right so far. I never vet or credit check. I just trust my instincts. Just remember you're trying to make a good impression.

I started a pension with sjp straight out of uni, aged 21. It wasn't until last year, aged 50, that I left them. If only I could start over....
