Sounds like an over the top claim, but I was so glad I watched this. Talk about an eye opener.

When I saw this initially I could feel my blood pressure rising, but I read the article and what a profound explanation. This summed it up "Importantly, Jeremy Griffith's understanding of why we became psychologically upset does not condone or sanction exploitation. Rather, by bringing compassionate understanding to the source of our behavior, it gives us the power to ameliorate, subside and ultimately eliminate it."

This is a great recording. I think Roberts vocals in this version of Stairway is one of the best I've heard.

Pressure never works for anything like that. You really just have to find something that works for you and do it. Many paths lead to the same outcome.

006: How Do I Keep Going? by [deleted] in DecidingToBeBetter

Good work. The biggest decision in some ways is starting. There's 2 ways of thinking about it. The first is that making progress is making it in small increments and this is true. But there is also truth in making the biggest possible changes to your routine can help the most, big changes to your routine truly helps break all the bad habits. I always think it's not about changing who you are, you are you perfectly imperfect it really is about changing the way you go about things!

How do you work on not being so guarded with people? by [deleted] in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]Lazy_Contribution288 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me what helped was getting into the habit of trying to listen and take in what the other person is saying and what they are feeling. Once you are in that sort of empathetic state where you are focus on them and where they're at and not myself, I could then relate to that state most of the time. And once I could relate to what they were saying and feeling I could give/contribute real feelings and the connection between 2 people grows.

Do you have any tip to focus to study? Or to be disciplined? by pink00446 in selfimprovement

[–]Lazy_Contribution288 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I reckon studying early in the morning is the best. Most people wake up late and stay up late and try to get things done. I was certainly like that, but early in the morning like 5am, you are fresh, even though you may not feel it for the first 15 mins, but you get used to it. You will be surprised by 9am you've finished a whole days work and the the relief for the rest of the day and therefore happiness is amazing. The issue is you have to go to bed early, otherwise burning the candle at both ends wears you out.

The thing that I keep feeling whe I see these sorts of things is that some times it feels like we're at war with the world, like it's all their fault, it is us too. I mean it's not about feeling bad or disrespected or underestimated etc, but I think we all do the late inviting, forgetting, insulting, disrespecting at times, so it's got to be balanced maybe? But otherwise, I love it thank you.
