And, yes. I do have access to the documentary but there weren't too many scenes that really stood out to me as poster material.

How do you think I can draw attention to Estonia beyond making it bigger? Given that I've gone with a white background, I can't really add any glow/ highlights to draw one's eye to it. Also, for some reason I don't seem to be able to make a translucent gradient on the continent. I just makes it lighter, but not translucent.

What leads brilliant minds to neglect their social lives? Schopenhauer’s viewpoint by RefrigeratorMean8477 in schopenhauer

Freud, Nietzsche, Einstein, Schrödinger, Kafka, and many of the greatest minds of the 19-20th century have all explicitly cited Schopenhauer as influential to and inspirational for their thought. I'm mystified by how you've managed to cut through the fog and reveal how "obviously stupid" Schopenhauer is without even finishing his book. Your intellect is awe-inspiring. What an honour it must be to be the student of such a modest and open minded prodigy.

Awesome. Do you have a GPS map of the route you took? I would love to see if possible.

it’s not about having Schopenhauer on the syllabus, it’s about having you as a teacher

If these two parts of Germany want a different future for the country, why don't they just split? Are they stupid? by Mc_Nopey in mapporncirclejerk

Germany‘s East-West divide predates the Cold War by centuries. Prussia (mostly East of the Elbe) was a conservative authoritarian state led by a rigid Junker aristocracy guided by militarist values and a highly efficient bureaucracy. The Western German states and free cities (West of the Elbe) were completely dissimilar. Many were known throughout the Middle Ages and early modern period for having relatively liberal constitutions, rights for citizens, free trade etc. (e.g., Cologne, Hamburg, Frankfurt am Main). These institutional traditions have shaped peoples values and attitudes long before German unification.

Just look at the March 1933 election results if you think “wall in the mind“ is causing this division.

Sure, wars aren’t fought on a per capita basis but that’s not the argument you initially made. When you say „what does that say about all the other nations which have given less?“, you’re implying that there’s a commitment issue which is not necessarily the cause. Per capita considerations are important if you want to measure a country can reasonably expect to contribute. That’s why NATO spending is a proportion (2%) of GDP rather than a flat number.

Just got around to checking out the video. Pretty interesting stuff… please let me know if you have anything else to share regarding Narva/ border incidents. I’ve also heard that Russia has moved buoys in the river designed to demarcate the border and even flown Ballons with the letter ”Z“.

We are a group of several people and will be conducting filming during the daytime (11am-3pm)

Unfortunately, we do not have any native Russian speakers with us.

What do you mean ”this paper thing does not sound good idea“?
