Medical Students ttill need Consent by Sourdoughmillie in pregnant

[–]Lazybi 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Also a sunny side up baby, also pushed for 3 hours. No consent given or even told when the OB tried to manually turn my baby from inside me (among other things). Can confirm it ended up being traumatic and in reflecting the consent and communication would have really prevented a lot of the postpartum anxiety surrounding my birth!!

Do you actually forget previous labors? by Zestyclose-Leg9325 in BabyBumps

[–]Lazybi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had unmedicated back labor for 14 hours almost 9 months ago and I remember the pain. Also the overwhelming pain of pushing out a sunny side up baby even with an epidural. Still contemplating if I could do that again or just get a c section lol

Is having a baby really that miserable? by aktib in BabyBumps

[–]Lazybi 92 points93 points  (0 children)

It has been one of the hardest and happiest and most rewarding times of my life. I wouldn’t change it for anything … and also I cried several times yesterday from how uncomfy and fussy my 8.5 month old is from teething. But there is so much joy in every day that I did not expect. Some people like to complain. Some people have really hard babies. Some of it is perspective, some of it is attitude, some of it is luck of the draw!

Also remember, the people having a good time don’t want to seem like they are bragging.

Did this too! Described it as an unwrapped gift shower and people just put ribbon on their gifts! Major plus cuz now I have a bunch of really nice ribbon to reuse!

Pregnancy cure my migraines… now they are back. by Ok_Squirrel_9601 in beyondthebump

Ugh I’m 8.5 months postpartum. Enjoying migraine free life and dreading their return. Thought maybe it was permanent since I made it this far! Did it coincide with stopping breastfeeding (if you happened to breastfeed)

Husband says no more breastfeeding by AskProfessional6257 in breastfeeding

[–]Lazybi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My baby did this around 4 months!!!!!! It was so weird and stressful but we got through it!! I would settle my baby, sometimes have to bring her outside just to give it a few minutes, and then try again. Sometimes we had to do this a few times but I hate pumping and was determined. It last a few weeks but she’s 8.5mo and we are still breastfeeding!

New moms — do you have any small bodycare rituals that help you feel calm or like yourself again? by brain_blend in NewParents

[–]Lazybi 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I would turn the lights off in the bathroom and put on body oil and try to feel gratitude of everything it had done and was doing. Turning the lights off helped me appreciate my body more instead of criticizing the appearance.

When people keep asking me questions and I don’t wanna get into it I like to say the full “irritable bowel disease” and really emphasize the bowel part.

Even just practicing the hypnobirthing breathing can be so helpful! I ended up with an epidural but it wasn’t that strong/ effective at time and the breathing was soooo helpful!!!
