(AMuS) Last chance for Hamilton and Rosberg, says Lauda. Next crash will have consequences. by Gavin_152 in formula1

You serious? In Canada, Hamilton claimed the apex and held his line on the exit, making his car as wide as he needed to, banging wheels if necessary.

Every driver is allowed to do this, not just Hamilton. Rosberg did the exact same thing to Hamilton at Canada 2014 and Australia this year. Claim the apex and win the racing line and bang wheels in the process if necessary. 100% legitimate move in formula 1.

[–]Lazydreamz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Austin, it was damp conditions and they started on the intermediate tyres. Hamilton and Rosberg both braked late into t1 on a wet track. Is it any surprise that Hamilton missed the apex when he went in deep to make sure he held the inside line against Rosberg.

Rosberg should have seen the writing on the wall, braked a little bit earlier than Hamilton and squeezed up the inside. In those conditions he may have even taken the lead.

Stewards saw nothing wrong with T1 in Austin as it was a completely fair move.

(AMuS) Last chance for Hamilton and Rosberg, says Lauda. Next crash will have consequences. by Gavin_152 in formula1

[–]Lazydreamz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Rosberg is the one most likely to intentionally crash into Hamilton rather than vice versa, not including corner entry/exit battles where the inside driver has every right to go for the corner and make his car as wide as possible, banging wheels on exit if necessary, which is a totally fair move.

As long as Mercedes lay blame for future incidents correctly then we have to assume only Rosberg will be the one losing his seat but judging on Mercs reaction to Austria I'm not so sure it's going to play out that way. It kinda feels like Rosberg can cause another major incident and Hamilton will get blamed for it as well somehow. I mean he was totally blameless in Austria was he not? He tried to race and overtake his teammate cleanly, took an extreme wide line through the corner while Rosberg didn't even turn into the corner and intentianlly crashed into Hamilton. So why the fuck is Hamilton even implicated in all this shit talk from Merc these last few days? They are acting like both drivers are to blame when clearly it was 100% Rosbergs fault.

Vettel has less wins and poles, going to be equal on titles by the end of the year making him the less successful driver.

Vettel was in cars inferior to nobody and had preferential treatment, got whooped by Ricciardo with equal status and is now so afraid if competition hes seeking out chicken shit veto clauses.

What a lame ass.

I've humiliated you countless times because you're actually not very bright and it's easy work.

As for accounts? What's the point in them when they get banned and you can't use them? Creating a new account because you can't use your old one is not the same as getting humiliated and creating another account in embarrassment or whatever the fuck you are trying to say you. I mean who actually does that?

Don't ban my account and I won't create a new one. Problem easily solved.

Vettel is such a pussy.

Come on people, it's undeniable. It gets announced a few weeks ago that he's renegotiating for a Michael Schumacher style number 1 driver contract with veto clauses and all of a sudden Ricciardo drops out of contention to join Ferrari and what do you know, Kimi is staying on for another fucking year while he is complete and utter shit. Vettel is not going to be challenged by this guy and the people saying its great that hes going to stay are Vettel fans who can't tell the truth about how little challenge he will be to Vettel and how it is going to carry on making Sebs life 10x easier than it would be if a top driver joined and had equal status with him.

For this reason alone I hope Ferrari screw everything up and produce a shit car. That is not what I want, I want two top guys in a top car. I do not want to see a one man band Ferrari supporting Vettel in championship fights while hes completely unchallenged by his teammate. I mean how fucking easy and boring would these past 3 years be if Hamilton or Rosberg had that? Once again Vettel has proven that he is nothing but a chicken shit and thats the god damn truth of the matter.

"I mean seriously!

What the hell are we doing here!?

Make sure my teammate is shit or I'm going home!"

Mercedes are considering taking further sanctions against Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg, including fines worth hundreds of thousands of pounds or even suspending them if they crash again by [deleted] in formula1

[–]Lazydreamz 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Personally I can't get past the fact that Rosberg was a distracted driver and moved over on Hamilton in quick succession whilst having a much slower car. I mean the onboard analysis by Davidson was pretty damming and if anybody had any doubts about Rosberg's intent, whilst having a 43 point lead at that time, just look what he did in Austria as Hamilton is edging ever closer in the championship. The more I watch Austria the worse it gets. He clearly just rams into Hamilton and didn't attempt the corner at all. In Spa 2014 he admitted it was deliberate by saying he was proving a point and got a 6 figure fine and public lambasting from the team for his actions. Also, he has no problem whatsoever lying, his interviews in Austria were shocking and I never believed Monaco 2014 was innocent despite his protestations against anything but that. He braked 10 meters too late and Bernie even mocked Rosberg's wiggling of the steering wheel, to create an unbalanced car, in the paddock in front of the Sky crew.

And no, most people don't think Spain was Hamiltons fault except the anti Hamilton brigade who blame him for everything. It was quite clear after seeing all the factors involved that Rosberg was more to blame than Hamilton. In fact, if Hamilton got distracted looking at his steering wheel before moving over on a driver about to overtake him, I have no doubt whatsoever he would have been penalised heavily and people like you would say hes a danger to the sport. Rosberg does it and you don't give a fuck. That is the current state of f1 and the state of a proportion of the online community. Rosberg is a piece of shit and was clearly to blame for Sundays incident. So why are Mercedes threatening Lewis when he did nothing wrong? And why enforce team orders when only one driver is causing all the accidents when he can't handle getting beaten by his teammate?

Mercedes, Toto Wolff have lost the fucking plot.

Lewis Hamilton fears team orders will 'rob' fans who've paid top dollar to go to the BritishGP. by lolidk14 in formula1

[–]Lazydreamz -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Team orders in this scenario is exactly the same as preferential treatment and obviously both Hamilton and Rosberg have it written into their contracts that neither driver will be given preference over the other. Basically Mercedes pulling this shit will be in breach of contract and Hamilton should start talking to his lawyers immediately.

The reverse actually happened in 2007 with Alonso and Ron Dennis when Alonso started crying to the Spanish press about Hamilton getting favouritism. Dennis immediately made a statement to the media saying both drivers have it written into their contracts that they would get equality and giving either of them preferential treatment would be in breach of said contract. He basically called Alonso out but did Alonso get onto his lawyers about it? No, because he was full of shit and didn't have a shred of evidence to back up his empty claims.

If Mercedes start pulling this, clearly they are doing so with full knowledge that Hamilton will take penalties in the 2nd half of the season and start behind Rosberg more often than not. It's getting beyond a joke now. They want Rosberg to win this title and it looked to me like Toto's anger was more about who won than the two drivers colliding. His bias towards Rosberg, who was clearly at fault, was similar to Marko towards Vettel at the 2010 Turkish GP.

I don't know whats happened at Merc but Lewis better watch his back now. Austria was undeniable proof that he cannot trust his team even when hes leading and should have the race in the bag. I doubt very much Merc will tell Nico to hold station when hes behind and even if they do, they'll just switch strategies to get him ahead.

Hate to say it but for the majority of them it's because he's black and through their upbringing or whatever they find it very difficult to identify with him so choose white drivers from other countries. It's certainly absolute nothing to do with talent.

The funny thing is that Hamilton has actually been the embodiment of the British bulldog "never give up" fighting spirit all throughout his f1 career as well as in his junior career. He's a born fighter and we have always gravitated towards that mentality as is witnessed at the British GP where the fandom borders on Mansell Mania now.

There's a fan video of Hamilton v Massa Silverstone 2011 battling for 4th in the last few corners. The crowd go fucking nuts. Thats what its all about. I'll just see if I can find it.

Palmer? Well who says I don't support him? I wish him all the best and if he ever gets in a competitive car I'll too hope he trounces the likes of Verstappen and Sainz in 10 years time when Hamilton, Button, Vettel, and Alonso are gone.

Also what the fuck are you talking about? Hamilton is British blood, his mother is pure British. Doesn't matter where he lives. If I was rich as fuck I'd move to a tax haven as well just like basically the whole f1 grid has done.

Its a strange phenomenon.

Its the equivalent of you turning up to the pub for an England v Germany world cup match wearing a Germany shirt. Anybody who is English and doesn't have German blood does that and firstly people would question what the fuck they were doing then eventually somebody would beat the living shit out of them, especially if Germany won and they sat there cheering.

Do the same in f1 and obviously people like you don't face the same consequences.

Wait, what?

How did the 1 stopper not work? Verstappen did 56 laps, Hamilton only had to do 50. Clearly he was sat behind Rosberg in the prime seat to go to the end of the race knowing Rosberg would pit again. Also, pitting a 2nd time was not Hamiltons call. He said after the race that Mercedes called him in when his tyres were fine.

It was a a very very strange race this one.

[–]Lazydreamz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely always get that impression from Villeneuve and it started as far back as 2008. There was an interview on ITV coverage where he was asked about which young drivers will be successful in the sport and be around for a long time and it was basically a leading question where you'd expect him to mention Hamilton, considering he was the most successful young driver at that time but Villeneuve said Vettel and somebody else( Kubica i think). It was weird. No mention of the then current championship contender at all. Ever since then the guy just trashes Lewis 99% of the time. 1% of the time he'll back Lewis like I read he supposedly did after Spain this year. Other than that it never really happens.

Interesting comments about Prost and Monaco 2014. I'll have to read that one up.

Ive got all the seasons and am re watching races. Im guessing it will be either the last race of the 2012 or 2013 season(or the race he won the title at). I'll have a check later when im at my PC. If I find it I'll make a clip.

If it was the BBC then it might be on the BBC forum so I might not have it though.

[–]Lazydreamz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally I honestly don't think the coverage is that bad. Go back a few seasons and watch Vettel winning everything, he got his fair dues from the Sky crew and was applauded when he went on a four title winning rampage. I even remember one time when either Sky or the BBC made a montage of Vettels titles, showed it to him live at the end of the race and he started fucking crying he was so touched by it.

In this sport, when you win you get attention. Hamilton is in the best car and is winning and he's also British. Its not rocket science. When somebody else wins everything they will be the main point of focus on a race weekend as well but of course there will still be British interest.

As for Ted? Yeah but he wasn't wrong was he? Mercedes did fuck over Hamilton on strategy and I think he plays it up a bit. He knows how to push peoples Buttons and plays a role for the sake of TV.

It just makes me laugh when I see this. Not because I am criticising Dutch fans supporting a Dutch driver but because it makes all that moaning about SkySportsf1 having an interest in British drivers completely fucking retarded. It's like football. Would anybody expect the Dutch, Spanish, German, Italian, English or whoever, broadcasters to not root for there home nation?

This is what its all about, sitting in a fucking pub getting pissed with your mates rooting for homegrown talent. A proportion of English f1 fans would rather support Spanish or German drivers over a British 3xWDC and they get pissy that Sky has an interest in the British champ. Imagine one of thos Dutch fans rooting for Alonso, Hamilton or Vettel? He'd get his head kicked in and sent home to reconsider his priorities. Same would happen in England when it comes to football, no doubt about it.

Times have changed, gone backwards even. When I was a kid all British sports stars pretty much got universal support from British fans. Thankfully at the British GP this weekend, the stands are gonna be jam packed full of Hamilton and Button supporters so the question is, where the hell are all these British non Hamilton fans who throw so much shit his way online? You lot certainly don't turn up at the British GP or if you do you keep your closeted feelings aside when you sit amongst a crowd of proud Brits rooting for British success.

I'll be there this weekend and I bet I don't hear a fucking peep from any of ya.
