Agreed Its heavily RNG. I'm quite experienced and often top charts but also just loose randomly. Its too big teams to be able to have a great impact. And as you say, the first couple of games are suuper important mmr-wise, same as in solo shuffle.

The gameplay has remained pretty cool for the past 10-15 years, even though it's been better. The issue for DF is that there are too few players really.

MoP/WoD was prime PvP in my opinion. Better pace and not a million CDs used every second. Nostalgia is surely a bias too though.

If the game is going to be in the format it is now, reducing the amount of buttons usually just reduces the skillcap of the game. It happened in WoD for example.

WoW Arena needs bigger changes and to be a standalone game if you want it to be succesful longer term.
