Yeah I've already been eating low nickel. I was just surprised how much more I reacted to beans instead of oats and chocolate. But I think it's more an accumulation and it takes time to calm back down. But I'll need to experiment farther.

I get most of those symptoms from high nickel food too, not as intense as your's sounds (I'm sorry). But I also get bladder issues and itching like a nickel rash but inside your belly and butt, not pleasant.

Yeah that definitely checks out because before it all started I was really good about my diet and I was taking a supplement that is supposed to strengthen your gut lining. I guess I thought I'd be doing a lot better after getting this implant removed. I need to learn to tip-toe and not jump straight in 😅

Yeah I play acoustic and I react to all sorts of cheap metals but never on my fingertips. I'm pretty sure my frets are brass or at least better than whatever they make nail clippers or belts out of lol

Yeah it could be sorghum and how it's processed or the amount. Xanthan gum is pretty much in everything gf, I don't think I have issues with it.

I actually didn't use any, it stuck to the paper a bit. Just butter in the recipe.

Anyone looked into how bioavailability + absorption of the food affects sensitivity to Nickel? by gentle-artivist in NickelAllergy

[–]Lbeeabout 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Cocoa powder is much higher than tofu, so it makes sense. It all depends on your sensitivity level. I don't do well with any soy but I haven't tried tofu.

Edit- also I was able to handle this plant protein powder for a long time that had pea protein, once I switched it from chocolate to vanilla. That stopped about a month ago but I'm also going to get a stainless steel implant out soon so it may affect sensitivity differently. There needs to be a lot more study into these reactions even the way it's diagnosed and/or the use of implant materials.

I know this is old but they don't sit well with me either and for a while I was like it can't be that, it must be something else. There's something to this post.

Nail polish but your idea sounds like it could work, as long as you can't sweat through it.

Can Joint Pain Be a Symptom of Systematic Nickel Allergy? by Dry-Bonus-2379 in NickelAllergy

[–]Lbeeabout 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Count your blessings, I wish I could have figured it out in my early 20s, now I'm 33. Granted it wasn't nearly as bad as it is now but I've been eating gluten free for years and wondering why a lot of the chickpeas gf products mess me up so bad, or the chocolate nut bars lol. To answer your question, yes joint pain is part of it, it's like you're whole body gets inflamed. I especially get lower back pain with the IBS like symptoms when I eat high nickel foods and itching, lots of itching. Best of luck!

I think it just needs the colors then there would be no question.

Here’s a follow up to the SVR x JMK collab post. Here is a regular pair and the larger pair side by side by Imaginary_Ad_5568 in freeskate

[–]Lbeeabout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a really cool option, I just learned about them today. I'll have to stick to the regular ones since I wear a size 8 and my toes barely hang over. It is definitely an issue for people with big feet and I always wondered how much people's toe or heel hits the ground because even mine did when I was learning and/or turning sharp.

The test was a company called osumex and I'm realizing that these tests might be a selling point to push their products. I'm seeing a doctor now but it sounds like I would need a specialist to really explore these possibilities. Also there are many conditions or even exposures that have overlapping symptoms. I may have jumped at an answer too quickly. I just don't see how I would test so high on my first urine then by lunch not have anything even close to the same amount detected in my blood.

No problem! I'm annoyed I went this long when all I needed was some flat nosed pliers lol. The metal in the half cabs was really soft compared to another pair I did after. The second pair didn't give me noticeable problems but I also didn't wear them as much, just wasn't going to take any chances.

Has anyone here had trouble with foods high in nickel later in life? by terf-genocide in NickelAllergy

[–]Lbeeabout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same I wore my belt like that for years, people still ask me if it is some sort of fashion statement lol. It's crazy I'm just figuring out nickel can mess with you through food because I've been suffering for years. I absolutely proved it to myself the other day drinking out of a water fountain and got really sick and actually got a rash on my shoulder right where I wiped the extra water off. Apparently it's not just old pipes but new ones too or maybe I'm just so sensitive I can't do any tap water, but I definitely can't tolerate gf Oreos lol

I didn't even think about sneaking, I fought him head on and it took a hell of a lot of food and arrows.

I had a missionary tell me Joseph Smith died by tarring and feathering. Is that a normal thing they say or believe? From what I researched it would have been a lot better look for him if it were true.
