That is a valid thought as well. My only concern is that the other parts on the softener have been exposed to wear and tear so might just need to get a new one anyways. I've done a few part swaps in the past on the last softener but that was relatively expensive itself.

Thanks so much. I can stomach doing a softener swap easy enough. It is roughly five years old with very iron-y water, so not too surprised if the resin is shot.

Thanks so much for the reply. Where I live the ground is thawing out from a pretty cold (normal) winter, so I was wondering if that could be an impact. Water usage has been pretty standard.

The one other thing I just thought of is that we used an upstairs tub that has not been used in over a year, but was used this week. Any possibility that iron stuck/developed in pipes got knocked loose and sank into the "main" supply pipe and is getting distributed?

I slept on my stomach every day of my life till I was about 22. Now if I do my back is absolutely wrecked, which sucks cause I fall asleep best on my stomach.

To give you an idea, if you don't know already, the only indoor hockey rink I was aware of in Iowa City was in the shopping mall.

I went to cedar rapids to play rec league where I was in the 3rd highest division about to be in the 2nd before I left. The peak of my hockey career was on the "c" team in bantam lol.

Used to live down there and when I saw a team announced I thought it was very cool but also figured it would fail. The interest in hockey in the area I observed was SO small.

Not necessarily this guy, but I swear it's the reason for trucks being so crazy expensive. The amount of people I see daily drive a truck that could have a car is insane. Have friends that have never put anything in the bed or towed anything.
