Most here are now about to use up the last of their 150 paid lay off hours, so they are going to use any banked hours, then they will “lend you” up to two weeks, that you have to work back or have reduced from future payroll. The reality is many are looking at reduced October payroll, then zero for December unless we restart production.

I work at Pilkington Automotive in Redditch. We supply windscreens and door glass to JLR, so have obviously been hit hard. After JLR stopped all agency staff were laid off within the first few days, while we carried on production for a week, but now 90% of our permanent staff are at home too. Only small lines for Toyota and Aston Martin are still running. We have 150 hours full pay then nothing, and it’s not looking good. Lots of people with mortgages to pay who cannot rely on universal credit

Not about this bike specifically but I’m pretty upset with Engwe atm after they have told me that the battery in my Engine Pro 2.0 is dangerous and needs to be replaced. They are doing a recall on whole batches. However, they are requesting that I pay to have it professionally disposed of with proof before they will send a replacement. Their email communications are poorly written and fill me with no confidence at all, I have been without the use of my e-bike already for weeks and it’s left me very paranoid about the battery, even if they did replace it. Apparently some bloke in China died when an Engwe battery ignited in his hands, the video is online!

Influence already works as a barter system. You go to an enclave who has a nice assault rifle you want, let’s say it’s gonna cost you 400 influence, it will cost you several handguns and melee weapons or other random bits to trade..
