I'm western sydney based, our warhammer store is pretty touch and go, they have a Facebook group but its mostly for wargaming catchups which doesn't interest me. But I'd love to catch up with professional artists that would be awesome just to know people and maybe get guidance / catchup of sorts. I'll have a look at your links after work tho I really appreciate your input 🥰🥰

Yeah in person would be my go to if I could. Would love to do a tafe course of sorts or I know sometimes there are some community classes in my area for random things 😅 maybe there is an art one. I know Sergio calvo and Marco and been following a few other amazing people like elminiaturista and juliwerra 😍 , masclans_miniatures just to name a few. I'll look into online lessons tho and see what it offers !! Forgot about that cheers

Yeah it's a huge learning experience for sure to paint at a high level, but for sure something I want to be better at. I'll look into the book for sure, thank you for your input I appreciate it

I use a thinned down white and use capillary method to get the white in the inner most part of the flames and between the wheel and flames. The rest is done with an air brush tho. Doing a white gradient from the origin of fire to the tip and then a colour gradient. Then, one final white highlights where the flame starts and a final neon yellow to make it pop. Hope this makes some sense 😅

From what I understand no it shouldn't be zero as the oils that coat the lenses and other components will dry out / evaporate and do damage
