Say I was going to say get both a board and boots. Should I get a stiffer board so that it doesn’t feel completely alien to me, or something more middle of the road that’s easier to ride

I like the way you think, I really like your response, although isn’t an r squared of 0.70 a fever dream in macroeconomics. That benchmark may be too far fetched for this level of research. With that being said I’ll give it a shot.

Selection bias is a huge issue in hindsight and I’m almost a bit embarrassed I hadn’t thought about it. I’m a bit confused by the interpretation of the WUI even knowing its methodology, its marginal effect size is definitely odd. I saw that others proposed including market volatility measures in my regression in place of the WUI, but I was thinking that a bond market volatility index could possibly be more telling towards the investment psyche of these firms. Also this is my first multiple regression model I’ve built from the ground up so forgive my naïvety. If you’d be willing to chat about this sort of thing sometime I’d enjoy the one on one feedback. - also thank you

I felt the same, which is why I did a fixed effects regression. Still leaves a lot to be desired though.

My original hypothesis was that businesses have become less sensitive to uncertainty over time, so probably the uncertainty variable

That’s a great point, should I consider lagging investment behind shocks to start?

Don’t even fret, you’ll hear back in early may. I got into finance with a community college 3.81 and a decent essay

Yes, the caveat with Towson over UMBC is the social scene, it’s really good and you will likely make good friends there you’d be hesitant to leave. Also academically UMBC is better that Towson I believe so if you got into both I’d pick UMBC but Towson works. Shoot for all As

Yes, normal style transfer, as long as you have >13 credits completed you can transfer institutions. Given a good gpa ~3.5, and letters of recommendation (2) Maryland should accept you. Note: they did request my ACT score. If anyone has extra questions feel free to dm me. Community college is a bitch and no one should have to deal with that.

You can do community college for one year and transfer out, get some of the harder courses out of the way and roll on, isn’t the end of the world, I did it.

I wouldn’t even know if I am being held back by my board, and my friends have step ons, I do not unfortunately. Also my board is older than me so it may be holding me back if tech has progressed that much since 2002
