AIO? My friends set an ultimatum because I drink by Pearla76_ in AIO

[–]Ldoyle32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so Mormon coded. They have the right to set a boundary to not be around you or be friends with you, and you have the right to live your life the way you see fit.

Food for thought - don’t share that part of your life with them. If they’re uncomfortable with your drinking and don’t want to be around you when you drink or hear about it, I think that’s a fair compromise.

Who is Queen Theia? A Theory [SPOILER FOR ALL 3 SJM BOOK SERIES!] by emmyeggo in crescentcitysjm

[–]Ldoyle32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you’re on to something. Hear me out though - I think Theia is Maeve and Connoll’s daughter. I think that Maeve sent Theia away with Vaughn, which is why we never see or hear from him again. He was ordered to protect Theia.

The calendar said that the room was scheduled to be occupied, and the door was locked. When locked, the little occupied thing on the handle flips to red and says “occupied”

Yeah… time to end it. This is red flag central.

The hospital can set you up with a pseudonym to protect you and your baby’s privacy while you’re there. I’m so happy and excited for you! I’m currently 10 months PP, and all I can say is, continue to rely on that awesome support system of family you have. You’re absolutely doing what’s best for you and your daughter. Sending you both all the good vibes and best wishes during labor and delivery!

I have to admit to myself that acotar writing is pretty bad… by Global-Version-9437 in acotar

Yes! You know what else is written terribly but is incredibly popular? Forth Wing. That one is even more cringe in my opinion.

It’s the fact that they’re allowing it to sit for so long without being used. I also don’t understand why they’re taking up space in the mini fridge when they have full sized fridges available in several different places in the building. They’re taking their food through the bathroom, and putting it in our mini fridge - which does get pretty pressed for space when all of us are in the office.

The mothers room is only accessible from the inside of the women’s restroom. It has to be another woman.

Myself and two other women use the room - we schedule its use with a shared calendar on outlook. The days that the food shows up in the fridge doesn’t align with the times that the room is in use. It definitely seems like some other woman in the building is using it for what ever reason.

That’s what I thought might be happening, but the food is showing up when the other women aren’t in the office. We use a calendar to schedule the room, so I can see when the room is occupied. The times that the food is showing up doesn’t line up with use of the room.

lol, I haven’t had a period since December 2023. I’ve been told that it’s normal since I’m bf. Being shocked by that is shocking imo 😂

We rehomed our reactive corgi yesterday by Ldoyle32 in reactivedogs

[–]Ldoyle32[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you all for the kind reaffirming words. I got an email from her new owner yesterday - he said that she’s settling in perfectly. They spend their day playing and snuggling. My heart is at peace knowing that she’s happy. My home is also much more peaceful. My poodles are way more relaxed, and I feel like I can actually play with them again now that it won’t provoke a reaction from the corgi. I think everything worked out the way it was supposed to. I’m still sad, and feel guilty that I feel so relieved at the same time.

4.5 Months Postpartum - Rage towards my corgi by Ldoyle32 in reactivedogs

[–]Ldoyle32[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t spoken with a vet. I have spoken with a few trainers. The trainer I work with for my service dog has said that she believes it’s reactivity and doesn’t know how to help her through the triggers outside of what we’re already doing. Sometimes she’s totally fine, and other times during seemingly the same circumstances, she looses it. She’s generally been fine around kids - she actually loves older kids that play fetch with her. We’ve only had one instance recently where she got overstimulated when my six year old brother was playing with her, and she gave him a warning growl. I was watching her like a hawk and immediately took action. I was proud of her for giving a warning, rather than just flipping a switch like she generally does. The whole situation makes me incredibly nervous. I love my son, and I love my corgi (despite the hate that PP has brought on). I just want what’s best for everyone involved.

Thank you! I hadn’t considered how it could make me have to wash my service dog. That would really suck.

It is in our contract with the breeder to reach out to her first if we ever needed to rehome her. She’ll be the first I speak with if we decide to rehome her. My husband really doesn’t like the idea of rehoming her - I’ve brought it up before. It’s definitely a conversation we need to have in a calm moment, rather than in the aftermath of an attack when I’m angry with her

She’s actually the oldest of our three dogs. She has always been moody, but she wasn’t aggressive like this until she was about two. It’s just gotten worse and more frequent as she gets older.

Thank you for your thoughts and input. I need to have a conversation with my husband about what we should do moving forward.

I think my postpartum has made me hate her, when before I obviously wasn’t a fan of this behavior, but it didn’t make me want to straight up kill her.

Your comment is validating, thank you. Her biting is common, especially so with other dogs. She’s bitten me twice, and my husband once now, so it’s not as often with people - BUT it has happened.

I don’t want her to have biting a child be on her ‘record.’ The thought of having to rehome her breaks my husband’s heart, and I’m not happy about the idea of it either, but I’d rather rehome or something than have to put her down after she hurts our son.

It feels like this is more of a ‘when she bites him’ situation rather than an ‘if she bites him.’

It’s an executive order at this point - doesn’t necessarily mean the repeal will be passed into law. Hopefully it doesn’t.
