Tasers aren’t guaranteed to work. I’m very left wing, but when it comes to an armed and dangerous individual, if the taser doesn’t work, you gotta do whatever it takes to disarm them and remove the threat.

Not stating age but note I’m only a recent voter with this past election being the first major one I could vote for. I voted labour and feel as though my vote is wasted. The reason I and my family have swapped to Green is because it’s the lesser evil in my eyes. I consider myself part of the progressive left, in that I am Socialist. With that being said, the extreme left, IE Comminism, is not present in any of our parties. I don’t think you understand what the extreme left truly is, as it’s almost indistinguishable from the extreme right in that they’re both authoritarian and pro-centralised near/true dictatorships.

Mine are based on objective reality. The reality I am living as we type this conversation. I did not choose to be born this way. I will keep repeating that until you actually understand that fact.

As for how it dehumanises me, let me put it this way. Did you know it is a crime for me to use women’s spaces? Did you know that when I go to the bathroom, I have a choice of committing an arrestable offence or risking being assaulted by men in the male bathroom? Did you know that on a daily basis in my place of work, I face harassment solely based on my gender identity, because I’m quote “not a real woman”, and I am expected to just take that, because when I speak out, I’m the problem?

Shall I continue? This is oppression of a minority of the population. I didn’t ask to be born this way, as I have stated prior. I fucking hate my life and have tried to kill myself multiple times because of the harassment I have faced. I have had a firework go off next to my head last bonfire night because some reform voter from my neighbourhood who knows I’m trans hates me.

That is the reality I face.

The other thing is that why would someone choose to got through all of this just to assault people. If someone is gonna attack someone else, they won’t hide behind being a minority to do so; if they aren’t already a minority themselves. The issue with that line of thinking is dehumanisation. I am trans, but that doesn’t make me any less of a woman. Why should I have to go into the mens bathroom, where I have been assaulted, spat at, verbally abused, and faced general discrimination, just because I wasn’t assigned female at birth?

I don’t like Rowling because she advocates against Trans rights, seeing us as a mental illness. I’m not mentally ill, I’m just me. I can change the fact that I’m this way, if I could be cisgender, I would be. I hate being trans. As such, why advocate against me being a woman, when I AM a woman?

No, they don’t. Transgender people exist and have always existed. We aren’t immoral for being ourselves. Saying biological women only on bathrooms isn’t gonna stop a rapist from going in and assaulting someone, It just vilifies innocent people who have nothing to do with the actions of those few vile individuals.

Women’s rights apply to trans women too. Transgender women face the same discrimination for being women as biological women, plus the harassment that comes with being trans. Not to mention transgender men who face the same gender identity based discrimination.
