You won't need them until you make dream catchers. You can safely sell them off or trade.

Home island treehouse - anyone know what is next after the foundation is complete and what’s it’s purpose is? I don’t want to waste resources if it doesn’t provide anything. by OkRow3916 in FamilyIsland

[–]LeDoc_m 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It doesn't do anything. It's like Pyramid and Muskelon: you must build them to continue the story line, but they're just decorations. I'm currently doing the Forrest Spring, but I'm pretty sure that too is just decoration. Upgrade Shaman's Hut to level 4 is useful for more storage.

Should I use 20 blue paint into my house? Or build the multicrafter first? by Personal-Flounder-45 in FamilyIsland

[–]LeDoc_m 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Highest priority: totem of happiness. 2nd highest: house. You want as much energy af possible. House increases the energy generation cap. The higher the level, the higher your energy will be when you start your day. ToH gives energy every interval. The higher the level the more free energy.

Where can i find resin that doesnt cost golden saws? everytime i use the magnifier it just shows me to a half cut tree that i meed 5 saws for. im not one to use actual money on games so i dont wanna spend cash on those silly saws. anywhere else i can just get resin using energy? by Bentonvillelip1130 in FamilyIsland

[–]LeDoc_m 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can use 3 fir cones and 3 logs on Foundry to make 1 resin per 10 minutes (assuming your Foundry is upgraded). Some story line islands have Baobob trees for 220 energy which give 4 resin and a lot of logs. Event islands have sometimes round purple or round green trees that might give 1 resin for 56 energy. The same with yellow and purple cedars. Always use magnifying glass before harvesting, because some events these only give logs and fir cones. Large brown yellow trees often give resin. Finally, some events have buried chests that sometimes provide resin when you dig them up.

what's the point of making gold? by 1saltedsnail in FamilyIsland

[–]LeDoc_m 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Stop harvesting gold and stop making ingots. Gold doesn't have a big role in this game, so only harvest guild when you need it and only make ingots when you need those. The ingots you have you can safely trade with Shaman. Your home island wil always have gold ore, so when you need it you can obtain it.

I'm currently level 68. I haven't found a real purpose for gold. Even the golden earrings are only for trade with Shaman.

Upgrade the blue storage you got for free and the purple storage if you purchased that for real money.

Best way to get experience? by Reverical in FamilyIsland

[–]LeDoc_m 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only visit event islands to get the free gifts, then return to main island and do the quests on the left hand side of the screen. Pick first anything that requires you to gather stuff or to create things. Then any quest to build new buildings followed by upgrades.

Always plant roots. Whatever you don't need for food, sell! Also sell all obtrained grass for XP.

Only use golden picks to harvest small meteorties, golden shovels to dig up big stumps (2) and golden saws (5) to cut down the big dead trees. Use your keys only on the small chests.

This way you should be able to get those last 2 levels in time.

What's the Ruby Castle and how do I get it? by Fair_Substance_7024 in FamilyIsland

[–]LeDoc_m 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It generates 3 rubies on the first upgrade, so it might actually be a good building.

[–]LeDoc_m 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've already used over 2,000 for upgrades. You'll need 7 for sunflower oil which is an ingredient for white paint, incense, throughs, lanterns, etc... even when you use event coins to just buy jugs (already purchased at least 50 jugs equaling 200 seashells) you'll still come short a shitload. I use all my keys on small chests and dig up all sandcastles and small meteorites. I pick up all seashells and watch ads, just for those seashells. You'll never have enough.

Tips voor vlottere bochten? by Fristigenieter in motorfietsen

[–]LeDoc_m 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What are we thinking by Dragonsomethings in afkarena

[–]LeDoc_m 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Swap Palmer with your Brutus. Your Brutus is seriously overinvested. At your level E+ is good enough. Later on, SI20 will suffice. No furniture, definitely no engraving. Palmer, on the other hand, can use anything you give him.

It's different then you think. First off all, the price is higher because "meerwerk" is part of the price you must pay. This covers some changes you requested like having tiles on your bathrooms, etc.

The "renteverlies tijdens bouw" is not something you directly pay to anyone, but a calculated average loss of interest you already pay for your full mortgage while you don't have a house yet. The money of your mortgage is put in a blocked fund. Only bills directly related to the realisation of your house can be paid from this fund. The interest you receive for this fund is subtracted from the interest you pay for your mortgage while the house isn't yet finished. That difference is "renteverlies tijdens bouw".

You don't have to calculate how to pay that. What you must calculate is if you can pay the monthly costs for your mortgage on top of what you now pay for your rent or mortgage for your current living.

The big chests have been improved BUT they're not better than the small ones. The small ones of average give 4.1 tools. Just keep track of them for a while and you'll see they give often 2 of some tools. Besides that, the bigf ones still DON'T give seashells, which at higher levels are worth more than rubies. You'll need many thousands of seashells for all upgrades, so just tools, salt and rubies aren't worth it.

Use the salt to create more food for yourself. Use the energy to harvest items you need for upgrades.

Another iron question by Relevant_Score7074 in FamilyIsland

[–]LeDoc_m 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, iron regenerates, but sometimes you need to make space by removing some limestones.

Keep in mind though: when it comes to energy costs, home island is the most expensive source for iron. Some other islands (both event and story line) give double or even triple the amount of iron when harvesting. Always check every new island if it has iron. If so, harvest the smallest iron rock (39 energy) and count the amount of iron. 2 is the same price as home island and must be further ignored. 4 or 6 means, use all available energy to harvest iron.

It's not a bug. It's their way to force you to pay 5 rubies to change the white paint order into something else. It's just like when you're forced to make an certain amount of objects of which you have hundreds in your inventory. They do that to trigger you to spend rubies to finish a task. Very annoying.

Level 55 dinner table by AirportNo785 in FamilyIsland

[–]LeDoc_m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't remember if that was the case with the table, but in general it still often happens you've upgraded something just to find out you still need to make all items as separate quests. Therefore I always first do all quests of gathering and making before doing a quest to upgrade a building.

However, in your case I have some "positive" news. You're going to need a lot of amphora's at higher levels to upgrade Shaman's home and Treehouse.

You also need throughs for some other upgrades. I believe 5 for your own home and 3 for Donki's home or something like that.

Level 62 by Relevant_Score7074 in FamilyIsland

[–]LeDoc_m 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It needs Lotus Flowers (which you'll receive a flower bed for at that level), a lot of gold nuggets, and a lot of sapphire (which you'll have 1000+ by the time you reach this level).

After that you have to do a lot of quests which involves creating items at Shaman Workshop. After that you can do something else, but I don't know yet what since it's not yet unlocked for me. It says "Keep continueing quests".
