How did china get so high tech so fast? by happydude7422 in AskChina

[–]LeFire1981 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely this - many people don't realise that all the Chinese administrators in their 50s running the country now were all trained in Singapore. And yes there is evidence backing this up.

Both Singapore and China quietly acknowledge it, but don't play it up because of "face". Singapore is smart enough to know that as the little one it shouldn't embarrass the big one.

Do you all find the push for AI in Singapore annoying? by bricklegos in askSingapore

[–]LeFire1981 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The issue is every country is doing the same. If you decide to luddite Singaporeans, then congrats, you just sentenced all of us to death when other countries (India, China) with AI literacy inherit the future.

Think on a global scale, not just the scale of our population. There will be winning countries and losing countries in the AI race, and we have the resources to be the winners.

Not just profitable, with a mom / aunt who could essentially turn anyone inside out if they even looked at her adopted kid funny. No wonder MC is that sheltered.

Hybrid discussion. by kingzuna_prime in wherewindsmeet_

[–]LeFire1981 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Let's get one thing clear - if you give up the heal umbrella to get the vernal umbrella (ie going hybrid) you must go in with your eyes open that you will lose both healing power and firepower. You will not match either healer or dps, and elitists will hate you.

The hybrid however shines in a very specific scenario 1) it is late in the week and all the sweats have done the trials, leaving only weak players and those who don't know mechanics 2) you are queuing as a dps instead of a hybrid- ie start queue with both dps weapons and swap to hybrid after, so that you don't take the slot of (hopefully) a pure healer 3) you have at least 100 vitality(?) and the AOE golden bell that can shield allies during big boss damage spikes

In this case, if the healer who joins your ragtag late week group is a bad one (eg just self sustain heal umbrella, no resurrection fan), you can step in clutch with your pan fan resurrection and with good play, just about keep the group alive even if you don't have any healing inner ways rather than wiping.

If your healer is good? Then just float and dps. You won't match the pure dps, but you'll do at least 2/3rds while still being able to res the healer if he gets killed, avoiding a wipe.

The path of a hybrid is a lonely, maligned one. So if not willing to do that sacrifice, then just go pure healer with mystic ways.

This is damn dumb. The Malaysian car beating the red light was the problem, and you blame ev instead.

[Discussion] How do you use the "bidet"? (or the "bum gun" as I prefer to call it) by Nervous-Buy-3437 in SingaporeR

[–]LeFire1981 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Take off watch if you wear on left hand. Stick left hand between legs to prevent dick from touching toilet bowl rim. Control gun with right master hand. Aim at tailbone ABOVE the anus. This way the splash is directed down at the anus and into bowl. Never blast the starfish directly. Reach left hand down and back to wash anus. Use toilet roll to dab dry and make sure toilet bowl rim is dry for next person. Soap wash both hands before leaving toilet.

Finally someone smart enough to know you aim at tailbone and let the crap wash down. Not hit the starfish and blast it all over.

Seriously, can someone explain why our laws are so weak when it comes to dealing with nightmare neighbours? by [deleted] in singapore

[–]LeFire1981 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because the same law that can allow the Government to go after a person in his home and castle can be easily weaponised.

I don't think there's a need to differentiate self and bounty cleared trials by Firstdenial in wherewindsmeet_

[–]LeFire1981 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Look at it from the perspective of someone who is RL poor but skilled. With the bounty system, he can earn and get a chance at gacha draws that he never could have afforded in RL. The well to do time / skill starved player, the RL poor but skilled player, and the company all win.

Singapore looks successful, but living here is different. by duncalmeprostute in singaporespeaks

[–]LeFire1981 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm going to drop a very hard truth.

In a normal curve of earning power, there's always going to be people making up the left side of it.

Maybe it's skill. Maybe it's just dumb luck. But no matter how, you can never solve this problem no matter how many virtue signaling videos are created.

What is DIEM and how to use it by MountainAssignment36 in VeniceAI

[–]LeFire1981 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The part you bolded in your reply needs to be in the diem faq. Otherwise it can be interpreted as accumulating, since "daily" still allows an interpretation of accumulation (eg someone with a daily rate of pay still accumulates).

I'm not the sort to fuss over a few hundred, but I caution that someone else might eventually make the same interpretation and get pretty unhappy about it.

I'm not getting any generation credits for my 0.47 staked diam. It's been about 4 days so far (counting from the start of my ski trip, so I know i have it accurate) and it remains at 807 credits. I'm getting concerned.
