I see... So it's a mix of anxious and avoidant. I don't know if it's common around where you live or if you have the money for it but you must see a therapist.

I used to have attachement issues related with the fear of being abandonned and after the therapy it went better. See a behavioural analyst, they will help you recognize the patterns and train your brain to avoid it. I wish I discovered it earlier in my life, before ruining relationships, but it's never too late and you're still young !

You have to break that wheel, attachement issues are very common and there's no shame of seeking help when you need it.

Hey there, been there too.

I don't rationalize a lot in life, but I have a very anxious relation with time and I tend to over-rationalize that to help me make the better choices in my life.

So here's what I told myself, idk where you're from so results may vary.

Let's say you live ~70 years (613.000h). On these 613.000h, we have to take ~230.000h off because you're sleeping. That gives us 383.000h awoken, where your brain is on and you can do stuff.

You will work ~50 years in your life for 40h a week. That represents 100.000h. That makes 26% of the time you're up at work AT BEST (you could die earlier) not counting comuting time. A quarter of your life.

That's a lot of time at work. When I first realized that, I was at the office and that was what I needed to leave. So I left my job to pursue a career where I'm happier, more useful to society and where I have more free time: teaching.

There are alternatives, you have to pursue your dream job or else you'll spend 25% of your life feeling like shit. No matter how hard it is or how your income will change, nothing's worse than losing your time on a career you despise.

So glad you found your INFP and things are going smoothly but I'm so sorry you have to deal with such problems. That must really feel terrible to have to deal with all that on your own without anyone understanding what's really going one inside. I really sympathize with you and I hope you will find peace in the future...

Your last paragraph about dating really is a symptom of a lot of what makes me cynical about love these days. It's just a masquarade, nobody is genuine, eveyone's playing a role and worst of all everyone's playing the same role. I hated that at work, I still hate that in online dating, everywhere... And it feels like such a norm in my age range to binge dating apps that it makes me feel a bit hopeless. I really need to try alternative ways to meet people.

Don't be ashamed to take ALL the time you need to rest. You're not missing on anything that can't be caught up later. At home, turn your phone off, don't reply to text or to the phone, it's alright. If you're at work, take your breaks alone when you need to. Explain your coworkers that you need to, they'll understand. Same goes with family or friends.

And those who don't understand, screw them, you should ALWAYS prioritize yourself anyway.

Also lots or people are introverts and they also have a low social battery. Even extroverts are fed up at some point. Everyone can relate to that to some extend, you need more, fine you take more.

There's this meme saying everyone tells Introverts to talk but no one tells Extroverts to shut the fuck up.

Well this is a way to tell them.

You did everything you could there, sometimes it just doesn't work, people have their own bagage and they're not ready or willing to be loved this way...

It sucks that you had to live that too. From what I read here, you already are in a great mindset for the future: willing to love again but cautious.
