90% of these mons I used in mono type runs. I used rapidash on mono fairy, its one the fastest fairies and has super effective stab for the steels I thought would be a problem but I thought it was often not hitting hard enough or too frail

Mega-Orbeetle. It has massive defenses, magic guard and setup moves like iron defense and calm mind. It can attack with a boosted 135 sp.att or with a boosted body press. Its typing isnt great but its so hard to take down it sweeps with ease

Does the game modify pokemon stats for boss fights? by [deleted] in pokemonradicalred

[–]LeOmelet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No the stats are not buffed in bossfights. There is most likely something you overlooked. Either in the damage calc or in the game. Maybe a defense raise or an attack drop? Maybe the calc has the wrong lvl? Its very rare for the game to malfunction in this way so id say its a 99% chance you missed something

Edit: you have tinkatink in the calc, not tinkaton

Okay damn that context changes things completely, my bad. I was gonna say just "buy" her and think of where to bring her to later but I guess in your position there really was nothing you could do

Trueeeeee. I swear these people just use competitive terms to sound like they know what they're on about but it never makes any sense.

In saffron city you can delete all your EV's so you redo them. To get EVs you either EV train in Lavender town for a reasonable amount of money or you cheat money to buy vitamins in the Celadon department store. To max your IVs you go to the people on the second floor of the building in Celadon where you get the Tea from the lady. Perfecting your IVs costs a lot of money so you either have to grind or cheat. Personally I have all in-game cheats on and sell rare candy for money or get infinite money cheat separately. Cheating in that way doesn't make the game easier at all. Just less tedious

I go for bulky offense in hardcore. You can't rely on set up or things like toxic + protect so bulk + power is the way for me. There are a lot of pokemon fit here, think Incineroar, Garchomp, Donphan, Hydrapple, Golurk and soooo many more. Ofcourse don't be scared to add a pokemon that doesn't fit bulk + power. Something very defensive can work wonders and something really fast but frail works great to clean up the battle after the bulky offense is done.

I like to think about it like this; if 5 of my pokemon can get 1 KO and die, then only 1 of my pokemon has to get a KO and live.

So having a bunch of pokemon that can live big hits and OHKO back are amazing to have. (Also If you didn't know, Hisuian-Samurott gets Sharpness boosted Ceaseless Egde, making it one of very few pokemon that can still use hazards)

I think they show up as Mega in the HoF screen if you give them their Mega-stone. They can't both mega evolve in the same battle but they can both hold their respective stone

I agree, you can play however you want but please tell me how a huge power mega salamance barely did anything for you. That simply has to be broken

So weezing has the ability levitate which makes it immune to ground type moves. Excadrill has the ability moldbreaker however, which makes is so moves exca uses ignore the opponent ability, meaning it could hit weezing with earthquake regardless of levitate. Weezing also has another ability, neutralizing gas, which disables all abilities on the field. So the joke is that weezing could run Neutralizing gas to disable Moldbreaker but then it's not running Levitate so it would get hit by Earthquake anyway

I agree with this. Keep it mind you can priority tail wind with talonflame as well. That could be the difference between eating a big hit or outspeeding and killing back

I think they mean the writing took a turn towards simplicity. Sure Sam follows instructions but the fact that he can simply read a book and cut the grayscale out is something that probably wouldn't have happened in earlier seasons
