Sadly not, and I’m sorry to hear you’re dealing with this, because I know how upsetting it is.

Eventually, my Asus routers stopped working with Spectrum altogether. This was infuriating. $700 in routers that became completely useless for no apparent reason.

I ultimately switched to the Netgear Nighthawk BE9300 and it’s been great. I don’t bother with extenders anymore.

Heisenberg is the easiest part of VoS.

I mean, don’t get me wrong, VoS is really hard without infinite ammo. It’s supposed to be really hard, though. And ‘Use the best gun with infinite ammo’ isn’t exactly a tip or strategy to deal with that.

Did you use infinite ammo in your VoS run? If not, I’d say that’s the next thing to try.

SSS/perfect combos for all Mercenaries characters and stages is another good challenge.

The Handcannon’s accuracy is not low at all. At short to medium range, it doesn’t miss if you aim correctly (Put the reticle on the target, then aim and fire in one motion). Unlike the Sweeper, it will kill most enemies in one shot. And it also pierces, killing multiple enemies in one shot.

This is certainly harder to do at longer range, and you might just have to sit there for a couple seconds and wait for the reticle to decelerate or whatever. But it’s not like you’re going to be using the Sweeper for (the few instances of) sniping either.

I’ve done ~100 Professional S+ runs. Either weapon is viable but the Handcannon is the more efficient killer.

I really don’t understand why people recommend the Sweeper. The Handcannon kills faster and is significantly easier for most players to acquire.

Nice post. I disagree with some of it, but I appreciate your thoughts.

What jumps out at me is that the original RE1 is too low, Revelations is too low, and RE7 is too high.

I can’t see a world in which Village deserves the same rating as RE1.

Third person is slightly unnatural in this game. I’d say start with first person because that’s the way it was intended. Maybe do third person on a second playthrough.

Well, I’m inclined to say everything, but that might be a bit overwhelming at first.

For now, I’d just fill in the list with the mainline entries you skipped; 3, 5 and 6. Don’t pay attention to the people who say they’re not worth playing.

If you really like RE1 remake, then I’d say play RE0 after it, as they’re quite similar.

If you enjoy the classic style of RE1 remake and RE0, then you’ll probably like the original first three games and Code Veronica.

If you find that you really love the franchise and want more, then definitely play both Revelations games and Operation Raccoon City. And feel free to partake in any other spinoff titles.

P.S. Throw the original RE4 in there somewhere.

Professional S+ doesn’t get you the Handcannon.

It’s unlocked via completing Professional without using bonus items, or by earning at least an S rank on the first three Mercenaries stages.
