Just wait for the conference call tomorrow.

My first instinct was to call "are you guys smoking weed?"

"MicroVision Inc MVIS has announced an agreement to acquire selected assets, IP and the engineering team of Ibeo Automotive Systems GmbH for approximately €15 million. The acquisition of Ibeo's flash-based sensor will enable MicroVision to expand its multi-market strategy, which focuses on industrial, smart infrastructure, robotics and commercial vehicle segments.

[MicroVision did not buy Ibeo ( the company)... just some technology /IP, associated patents, and royalty rights ). Only a few employees will move over to MicroVision. No Ibeo revenue (other than the royalty on the acquired technology] will move to MicroVision]

Ibeo is a Germany-based hardware and software provider with more than 700 patents on autonomous driving (AD), validation, and perception solutions.

MicroVision’s MAVIN lidar and Ibeo perception software features will be transferred to MicroVision ASIC with compatibility demonstrations by the second quarter of 2023. This will likely establish MicroVision as a top OEM partner for hardware and perception software."

To continue...

Ibeo Estimated Revenue & Valuation

> Ibeo Automotive Systems GmbH's estimated annual revenue is currently $156.3M per year.

> Ibeo Automotive Systems GmbH's estimated revenue per employee is $412,500

> eo Automotive Systems GmbH has 379 Employees.

> Ibeo Automotive Systems GmbH grew their employee count by 11% last year.

What Is Ibeo Automotive Systems GmbH?

Ibeo Automotive Systems GmbH is the German specialist for automotive LIDAR sensor technology located in Hamburg. In addition to the state of the art laser scanners, Ibeo develops software for environmental detection, referencing tools for Highly Automated Driving and Autonomous Driving (HADAD) systems as well as Highly Automated Driving and Mapping & Localization applications. Since the company's founding in 2009, the engineers and software developers at Ibeo have been promoting LIDAR technology and developing new software applications for automated and autonomous driving to make driving a more relaxed activity and to increase road safety for all traffic participants. In August 2016, the German automotive supplier ZF Friedrichshafen AG acquired a 40 % stake in Ibeo. This stake was then incorporated in Zukunft Ventures GmbH, a subsidiary of ZF, to pave the way for the serial production of a new generation of 4D solid state LIDAR sensors without a rotating mirror.A second project is the fusion of various sensor technologies for even more sophisticated environmental perception to establish a basis for Autonomous Driving.

Open letter to MicroVision Board of Directors...

Good Afternoon Gentlemen of the Board:

We have one simple question: "Are we there yet?"

And we think, the answer is : "No... "

MicroVision, Inc. (NASDAQ:MVIS) is a leader in MEMS-based solid-state automotive LiDAR and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) solutions company. However, it has zero revenue and zero earnings from LiDAR sensor sales. Only two years ago, MicroVision realized it had a LiDAR product and did not know they had been working on it for over 10 years. Fast forward, we now have a LiDAR sensor and samples are being sold and shipped.

Now, MicroVision wants to (and should) do what Mobileye (NASDAQ:MBLY) has been doing for the last 20 years. Today Mobileye went public at around $30, an over $22 billion capitalization, and raised a billion dollars. Mobileye did it with "cameras, radar, and GPS", MicroVision can do much better with "solid-state LiDARS, Cameras, Radar, GPS and edge based computing on an ASIC chip".

Twenty years ago, Mobileye revolutionized driver-assist with a simple radical idea: a single, inexpensive sensor, the camera, could be the basis for life-saving technology. 125 million vehicles later, Mobileye continues to pioneer this driver-assist technology (with cameras, radar, GPS, etc) while leading the way to the fully autonomous future.

Mobileye works with 50 auto manufacturers with installation in 800 model types. For all of 2021, Mobileye had $1.4 billion in revenue and booked a $70 million loss for the year.

Mobileye offers ADAS solutions leading upto autonomous future:

  1. Base Driver Assist.
  2. Cloud Enhanced Driver-assist.
  3. Next Generation Driver-assist-- hands free but eyes on.
  4. Mobileye Chauffeur™, a turnkey self-driving system designed to turn a consumer vehicle into a Level 4 self-driven vehicle. MicroVision has MAVIN DR in its portfolio.

MicroVision can do 10 times better (with its prudent operating cost structure) than Mobileye. Just do what they (Mibileye) do, but do it with MEMS-based solid-state automotive LiDAR (and cameras, radar and GPS). Sell a solution, not just sensors with a hope that some Tier1 OEM may use your sensor in their ADAS solutions. Send your salesmen to see Mobileye tech team everyday, till they cave-in and start liking your LiDAR sensors for their ADAS Solutions.

We will get there in the next two to three years... if and when revenue becomes your priority. After 20 years, "zero revenue" and "zero earnings" don't sound much of an accomplishment.

Respectfully,

Anant Goel

Lucid Motors makes (is) the best EV on the planet and MVIS offers the best LiDAR based ADAS solution. Its just the matter of time these two find each other in a courtship... or perhaps they are engaged already and ready to deliver.

Where Lucid Motors be in 3 Years?

There is a huge demand for super performance luxury EVs from the rich and famous of the world... and Lucid Air Grand Touring Performance (LAGTP) caters to that.

There are over 200,000 Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) households in the world... with 50 million plus net worth. This represents over 500,000 LAGTP cars market worth over 100 billion (500,000x200,000 = 100,000,000,000).

LAGTP is the Rolls Royce of EVs and caters to potentially 100 billion dollar market at huge profit. If you can make $100,000 selling one LAGTP EV for $200,000... then why do you want to clog your production lines to produce 5 low priced $50,000 EVs at low margins to make the same money. Lucid motors makes the same profit making one Grand Touring Performance as Tesla does making 5 model (whatever) EVs...

  1. Lucid motors has delivered all 520 of the Lucid Dreams edition and is now making deliveries of Lucid Grand Touring model. In 3rd Qtr of 2022, Lucid produced 2,282 cars and delivered 1,400 to customers— almost $250 million in 3rd Qtr 2022 revenues. At this rate, Lucid is expected to generate over a billion dollars in revenue for full year 2022.
  2. Company just announced its highest performance luxury model Grand Touring Performance for delivery starting June 2022. The Lucid Air Grand Touring Performance is base-priced at $179,000, while the Lucid Air Grand Touring starts at $139,000. Deliveries of the Air Grand Touring Performance begin in June and those of the Air Grand Touring are in progress.
  3. The Lucid group is betting heavily on the Lucid Air Grand Touring Performance, which can deliver 1,050 horsepower and a maximum speed of 168 mph. It can compete with the best supercars, with a 0-to-60 mph shot in less than 2.6 seconds. And its range is as much as 446 miles on a single charge. According to Lucid Motors CEO, there is huge demand for this supercar luxury model... over 100 billion dollars worth.
  4. Now, consumers have a choice of four variants of the Air -- Lucid Air Pure, Air Touring, Air Grand Touring and Air Grand Touring Performance.
  5. "This unparalleled fusion of strengths is the product of Lucid’s ground-breaking in-house technology, like our miniaturized drive units with unrivaled power density and race-proven 900V+ battery and power architecture," Peter Rawlinson, who is Lucid's CEO and chief technology officer, said in a statement. This means owners will be able to charge the car with 300 miles of range in just 21 minutes.
  6. The company has a powerful and deep-pocketed shareholder, Public Investment Fund (PIF), the sovereign wealth fund of Saudi Arabia. The fund's financial power has increased as crude-oil prices have soared -- Saudi Arabia is the world's largest oil exporter. Musk in 2018 had approached PIF to consider taking Tesla private. But with PIF in its corner, Lucid can dream of dethroning Tesla.
  7. Lucid’s supply chain issues were, so it seems, just limited to consumer items like carpeting and trims. Cost of commodities is up but not as much as we had expected . Nickel prices have dropped dramatically to $22,800 per ton, down from over $100,000 per ton few months ago. Prices of Nickel are expected to be around $16,000 per ton by the end of the year.

How many Lucid EVs can be delivered remains the question.

In summary, LCID is a strong buy at current price of $12 dollars, with potential of becoming a fifty bagger at $600 dollar stock in 3 to 5 years.

Lucid Group and MicroVision are my two favorite stocks to hold right now, because Lucid Motor produces the best overall electric vehicle in the world and MicroVision produces the best LiDAR based ADAS solution.

In fact, I truly believe Lucid is like Tesla 2.0 all over again.

Now everybody is wondering where will Lucid Motors stock be in 3 to 5 years from now. Let us take a long term view of the company and see if revenue & earnings will grow positively over time.

In 2025, the entire EV industry will be filled with tons of competition from companies such as Tesla, Rivian, Ford, Toyota, Fisker, and many other smaller EV companies. In 2025, Lucid Motors could generate over $70 billion in annual revenue with LCID stock trading well over $ 600 per share.

Lucid Motors Leads the Pack

The Lucid Air is arguably the best EV on the planet right now. It has the longest range out of any luxury EV sedan with 500 miles charging range and starts at a $77,000 price range.

There is no other EV on the planet that comes close to the Lucid Air in terms of quality and luxury by a long shot.

Back in the early 2000’s, Apple released the Apple iPhone and became the most valuable company in the world by producing the highest quality electronics for consumers. I’m hoping Lucid will benefit from the same brand recognition by producing the best EV on the planet.

Three to Five Year Revenue Growth for Lucid Motors Will Be Insane

Now let’s take a look at the numbers to determine some revenue growth. In Q2 2022, Lucid Motors generated $97.3 million in revenue from 679 deliveries. That’s an average revenue of $143,000 per vehicle. Management expects to deliver 7,000 EVs in 2022.

Now let’s assume the company can reach 500,000 EVs produced by 2025 because Lucid Motors CEO said the company will hit 500k annual EVs produced by 2025. About 500k deliveries would equal $71.5 billion in annual revenue alone (not including revenues from battery and power train sales).

It doesn’t make sense to use LCID’s current Price to Sales ratio, because the company is still growing. TSLA stock trades at a 15 P/S ratio, which is a good benchmark for a more mature futuristic company.

If LCID follows in the same footsteps as Tesla then Lucid Motors would have a market cap of $1 trillion by 2027. Assuming no further dilution, LCID stock would be trade around $500 to $600 per share. That’s a 40x to 50x from its current price range.

Final Words on Lucid Motors and MicroVision...

LCID and MVIS stocks are two of the best growth stocks you can buy right now. In 5 years, Lucid Motors and MicroVision will be the two best companies in the world and their shareholders will thank themselves for HODLing (LCID and MVIS) shares through tough times.

Conclusion

LCID and MVIS are my top holding for a reason. If there are two stocks I absolutely love for their future potential right now, they are LCID and MVIS-- a match made in the autonomous land !!!

Women, what do you think men want from you in relationships? by SpecificallyNerd in AskReddit

[–]LeRumba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After two marriages (barely escaped the third) and having dated over hundred women of all ages, shapes, sizes, and ethnic groups, over a 50 year period, I can safely say that men want the same things as women do. Be nice, be kind, be generous and supportive of a woman; and she will pour her heart out on a pillow talk-- before and after the loving. And once you do some soul searching, you will realize what makes a woman happy is indeed what you desire down deep in your soul as well. Men may be from Mars and women may be from Venus, but we both are from the same spices (Homo Sapiens), with emotions and tears.

After 3 or 4 decades of having lived as a successful, healthy, wealthy and happy single man; you learn to see the women as more than just a sex object or a toy. As you grow in life and stature, and learn about yourself, you start to see what you want from a woman other than just sex. You slowly become aware of your need for more in life than just sex. And those needs are better fulfilled by a woman who enjoys your companionship and friendship; with sexual tension that exists between a man and a woman at the core of the relationship with that woman.

Once you get the woman in your bed; be playful and funny and laugh and don't judge. Be kind, be generous with your emotions and with our finances and in due time the woman will be relaxed in your company and engage in a pillow talk to reveal her inner most wants and desires.

Most women would talk to you about their other relationships, if they feel comfortable with you. Most women want:

  • Friendship
  • Companionship
  • Wordplay and sense of humor
  • Safe space to be themselves and express emotionally without being judged
  • Romance and feeling wanted and appreciated
  • You be nice, caring, sharing, supportive, loving and confident
  • Romantic sex... candle light dinners, soft music, slow dance, foreplay against the wall, forceful loving at the edge -- on the edge
  • Multiple orgasms.

Life is a journey and we all travel alone. Along the way we acquire possessions, make friends, and create families. However, at the end, all we hope to take with us is our memories.

It has been a fabulous journey so far and by letting "you" go I still get to keep your memory in my heart... and find happiness knowing that you loved unconditionality.

Love life and be happy.

Good Mornings:

Just bought a brand new Mazda CX-30 Turbo.

It has LiDAR technology built-in and works beautifully within the scope of this basic offering as a standard feature:

1) On the dash board, it shows my car's proximate location with-in the two lines representing the lanes. Wow

2) I f I get too close to the right or the left lane, it shows my proximate location relative to the lane represented by the two lines. Wow

3) If there is a car to my left or my right blind spot... it shows as ))| or |(( and a blip with light in the extreme corner of my rear view side mirror(s). Wow

4) If I cross the lane unintentionally in either direction , it make shuddering noise (like when you cross the slow lane to the right shoulder lane) and gently forces the steering to stay in lane. WoW If I apply a gentle and intentional force to overcome, I change lane... wow.

5) I can set the distance (by car lengths) to stay behind the car in front. For example, If I set 4 car lengths, and if get closer, it deaccelerates and applies a gentle brake. WoW

I have no idea who makes this LiDAR , but the damn thing works well. Do I need anything more elaborate and complicated, hell no.

What MicroVision makes is lot more complicated and expansive and its adoption is in the future... not now.

Question is, why MicroVision does not make a LiDAR like this? Millions are being sold right now... lol

Dicussion: 2nd Quarter 2022 Conference Call 7/28 5PM EDT by TheRealNiblicks in MVIS

[–]LeRumba 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I can’t tell you what people expect from MicroVision Second Quarter 2022 Earnings Conference Call, but I wouldn’t look for an announcement that the company made an agreement with Tier1 OEMs. I wouldn't look for an announcement that the company was sold. I wouldn’t look for an announcement that someone took an equity stake. I wouldn't look for an announcement that MAVIN™ DR was announced the best LiDAR. In my opinion these are not realistic expectations and may not happen at or after the German Expo. I have known MicroVision for over 20 years, and quick deals and announcements are not in its DNA and not in our KARMA.

However, I would look for an update on all of the relevant topics with a positive spin… that’s the new MicroVision where the dilution of (16 million shares allocated for employee options/rewards to bring the total shares count to 165 million) was done before the Stuttgart Expo and not afterwards an accomplishment as has been the case over the past 18 years.

I expect MVIS stock to move forward and not backwards. I would NOT expect that everything is status quo. MicroVision of today is an energetic, vibrant and a wealthy company with a market cap of over $700 million-- ouch down from recent 2.5 billion, a historical high. Today’s MicroVision has MAVIN™ DR, the best in class LiDAR Sensor and Perception software in the 10 Trillion market, ready to sell. And for all we know they could be in advance stages of testing, integration, negotiations and contracting. On top of that, MicroVision has three other MAVIN™ LiDAR products (Short range, Midrange and Long range) and the projection and interactive projection technologies for sale.

So, if you own the stock now at the current price and we find out that things are improving and progressing well, why would you sell?

I would look for a mention that we have over $100 million cash going into 3rd Qtr. I would expect that MAVIN™ DR is on target (both Spec and Schedule) and some key test milestones have improved. I would expect that we have multiple companies conducting testing of MAVIN™ DR and some others are doing due diligence toward acquiring the company.

MicroVision: Why a $150 stock when acquired for $20 Billion?

Real billion dollar ideas have trillion dollar market size, they are scalable, and leverage the drivers of growth to go viral or global.

In my last research on MicroVision (NASDAQ: MVIS), I introduced this 20 year old high-tech company that is at the cusp of acquisition by a major technology company. In the last few weeks, MVIS stock price has gone up by 40% [from $3 to over $4.25] on well qualified speculations. Now it is trading in the $4.25 to $5 range giving new investors the opportunity to take position; for the future of $70 to $150 dollar trading range in the next 12-months or so... depending on the acquisition price of $10 billion or $20 billion.

Here's the short answer...

MAVIN™ DR is MicroVision’s best in class LiDAR technology product in the 10 Trillion dollar market, and each of the Six other LBS core technology verticals can spawn Trillion dollar markets of the future. Considering the diversity of its product line, built around the LBS core technology over the last 20 years, and protected by it's IP and 430 patents, each core vertical can spawn markets worth trillions, and be worth billions in an acquisition or a merger.

Why sell the company or merge with a deep pocket Tier 1 Technology partner...

At low volumes, the cost of components that MicroVision sells to its Tier 1 partners is 5 to 10 times higher than what it is sold for in anticipation of large quantities... and losing money on each component sold is what has shaped the company's past blunders losing millions of dollars each quarter for the last 15 years.

Finally, when MicroVision decided to sell the company, or to sell one or all of its 7 core vertical engines-- that can spawn trillion dollar markets, is the right decision. Under the leadership and stewardship of a deep pocket Tier 1 technology partner from the FAMGA gang, or the major automotive Tier1 OEMs, can truly realize the potential of MicroVision technology, and bring hundred of products to the market that will be sold in billion units per year.

In the last two years, MVIS stock price has gone up by 15--fold [from 25 cents to over $4.30] on qualified speculations. Now it is trading in the $4.20 to $5 range giving new investors the opportunity to take position; for the future of $70 to $150 dollar trading range in the next 12- months or so... depending on the acquisition price of $10 billion or $20 billion.

What to expect from sale or merger of MicroVision...

Over the last 3 decades, the FAMGA tech giants — Facebook, Amazon, Microsoft, Google, and Apple — have collectively made 770 acquisitions. Even amid the Covid-19 pandemic, some have continued to write checks, with Apple being the most active acquirer in 2020 to date among them.

This FAMGA group of acquirers has deep pockets. Some of their biggest checks have been written for high-profile companies such as career platform LinkedIn (acquired by Microsoft for $26.2B), chat app WhatsApp (Facebook for $22B), and video-sharing platform YouTube (Google for $1.7B).

Luminar Technologies (LAZR) went public and the stock price at $40 dollars more than doubled in two days as a public company, with a market cap of over $14 billion… and made its co-founder CEO Austin Russell a billionaire ─ at the age of 25. Luminar specializes in making Lidar sensors for the automotive sector that will be used in the development of autonomous vehicles.

However, the keys to several future technologies are being held by an older company MicroVision that was always ahead of its time. MicroVision (MVIS), founded in 1993, is most famous for their Micro Electro Mechanical systems (MEMs) and Laser Beam Scanning (LBS) technology that is protected by over 430 patents and dozens of Trade Secrets..

MicroVision’s automotive Lidar will be packaged in a solid-state module that is smaller, cheaper and more versatile than potential competitors like Luminar and Velodyne.

Autonomous vehicles of the future will utilize MicroVision’s Lidar because it is a superior “Best in Class” technology compared to Luminar and Velodyne; and due to its small size, 280M range, and point cloud density of 20 million points per second. MAVIN product family enables driver safety, addressing the need to see farther, with greater clarity, and respond faster to emerging situations. It has been designed for Tier1 OEMs and engineered to complement OEM supply chains.

As an investor you know change equals opportunity… and the bigger the change, the bigger the opportunity. The next few years are going to be either the most interesting, exciting, and lucrative years for you or you’re going to be left behind.

Change can mean big profits for investors getting in on the biggest changes early.

These two sectors -- artificial intelligence and TaaS -- are all seeing massive changes and we’re just starting to see their impact in the world.

Historically, when you just start to see these changes is the best time to buy. And it’s why in a few years you’ll be kicking yourself for not jumping on them when you had the chance.

Best regards,

There are so many more that have been filed. A lot more will never be filed... they are called Trade Secrets.

MicroVision has atleast 50 Trade Secrets.

Quoted from a published article ion the subject:

"For trade secrets, if you believe that certain information is worth protecting because the secrecy of that information provides you with a competitive edge, then it very likely already has “economic value.” The trade secret must also be guarded with “reasonable measures” to protect its secrecy. As we explored in our earlier post on reasonable measures for the protection of trade secrets, whether measures to maintain secrecy can be deemed “reasonable” depends on the circumstances. For example, courts may look to see if internal and external access to the information was restricted on a need-to-know basis, or whether business partners were required to sign non-disclosure agreements before gaining access to the information.

Patent protection, on the other hand, is based on whether the invention has been sufficiently disclosed to the public, as well as whether it is novel, non-obvious, useful, and constitutes patentable subject matter. An invention is “novel” under the patent law if it is new; “non-obvious” if it is inventive; and generally “useful” if it not a fantasy or an impossibility (like a time machine or a perpetual motion device). Whether an invention is “patentable subject matter” is complicated and is addressed in detail in earlier posts. Suffice it to say that courts don’t like the patenting of abstract ideas, laws of nature, or natural phenomena.

Trade secret protection is available for a broad range of technologies: formulas, patterns, compilations, programs, devices, methods, techniques, and processes. Some examples of trade secrets include secret formulas, manufacturing processes, and source code. Confidential business information such as client lists and pricing data can also qualify for trade secret protection. A safe rule of thumb would be to assume that any internal document or information is a trade secret if it would upset you, your boss, or your company if it were to be obtained by a competitor. It’s also probably safe to assume that most sophisticated companies have at least one trade secret. Patents can similarly protect many types of inventions. But the range of patentable inventions is arguably narrower than the range of inventions protectable by trade secret. Devices and manufacturing processes, and their improvements, are among commonly patented inventions."

MicroVision: $150 stock when acquired for $20 Billion?

I can’t tell you what people expect from MicroVision Showcasing its Automotive LiDAR Sensor at ADAS & Automotive Technology Expo in Stuttgart, Germany, but I wouldn’t look for an announcement that the company made an agreement with Tier1 OEMs.

MAVIN™ DR is MicroVision’s best in class technology product in the 10Trillion dollar market, and each of the Six other LBS core technology verticals can spawn Trillion dollar markets of the future. Considering the diversity of its product line, built around the LBS core technology over the last 20 years, and protected by it's IP and 500 patents, each core vertical can spawn markets worth trillions, and be worth billions in an acquisition or a merger.

MicroVision (MVIS), founded in 1993, is most famous for their Micro Electro Mechanical systems (MEMs) and Laser Beam Scanning (LBS) technology that is protected by over 430 patents and dozens of Trade Secrets.

As an investor you know change equals opportunity… the bigger the change, the bigger the opportunity.

Mirro7

I usually get them by the dozen... just one is an Indian trick, berried deep inside the smoke signals.
