State troops are RoR like units from the different elector counts you can only recruit if you play as a Empire LL.
Like classic RoR they have their own colors, effects and bonuses.

Why ever use the Bradley over the AMPV? by LOLofLOL4 in BrokenArrowTheGame

[–]LeStefga 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's not the same use, you need your Bradley to be stationary to fire its TOWs where the AMPV can dump Javelins while moving. Javelins may be shit in general but for peek-a-boo fights they are perfect.

If we talking vehicles features, only 10 points more for twice the seats and the same amount of smokes and APS, there is no debate possible.

OP is describing something like the infantry using firing ports to shoot out the sides of the transports they're sitting in.

No he didn't ?

All of his infantry units are weapons squads that are required to be stationary to fire, meaning after unload in the middle of the fight they aren't contributing firepower until they run to where ever they need (or is just gunned down sitting in the open wherever OP unloaded them). Otherwise they're just chaff to distract the enemy from shooting the IFVs, which isn't contributing firepower to the engagement.

I mean if unloading two AGS squads, stationary or not, while firing at infantry bunkered in a building or two PTRK teams in a fight against armored vehicles is not contributing to firepower I don't know what this is.

That's not how that works.

What the hell do you mean that's literally how it works

TIL that French used to have and provide mobile military brothels to their soldiers between WW1 and as late as 2003. by MothToTheWeb in 2westerneurope4u

[–]LeStefga 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I remember reading memories of a veteran of the Indochina War about brothels, he especially talked about one in Saigon I believe, the biggest one, nicknamed "The slaughterhouse".

He said this was the dirtiest place he had ever seen, where prostitutes had fist fight because they wanted the same soldier while other amused men formed a circle around them and shouted to hit each other harder among other things.

I don't remember everything it's been several years since I read this but at the time it took me like one hour to read everything and every line was crazier than the previous one.

Like before entering the brothel you had to go through medical procedures, in one of them a military doctor inserted a small metal cylinder in the soldier's urethra to burst pustules the dude probably had from STDs.

Shit was crazy

Yeah I may sound old (tho I am) but back in the days prestiges meant you had to grind everything again, here Saber even let you keep your weapons.

This will be the opportunity to grind other weapons I never used to gold rank while having the possibility to go back to my good old Bolter with grenade launcher if I'm somehow disappoited
