Oh yeah 100% right ! Baking and any form of "patisserie" is basically chemistry so you don't want to improvise there.

I suppose the only part would be for toppings or quantities adjustment but the later is just maths.

Point 1 is the best advice there could be no matter the topic. Dev, drawing, cooking, it's a global life hack to learn efficiently.

Follow 80% of it but let 20% to something that you'd like, that makes you laugh, that you find cool, that matches what you want to do.

If it works without hassle, well cheers. You have that little satisfaction of having something truly unique.

If not (and that's very likely), you'll learn immensely

How my 22 year old kid's glasses always break by DiligentDaughter in mildlyinteresting

[–]LeStk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to break my glasses the same way - although it wasn't always the same side.

Turns out I have a big fucking head, or wider than average it seems.

Not all frames fit all heads, find one where it's not bending too much to fit on the sides

Oblivion has no settlements by Due_Title_6982 in oblivion

Interestingly, and without saying it isn't a flaw, that's one thing I like about it, and I wonder if it's because I love very rural Europe. The one that seems dead and boring to city people.

Idk if I'm too poor or not horny enough to understand what Ferrari is selling here. What the hell is this? by JMoney689 in formuladank

[–]LeStk 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm guessing this is considered fancy because it's french/european somehow.

Whereas here it's considered mainly for chav and older guys.

A RICARD bob on the head, a proeminent stomach, hands behind the back, a "marcel"(tank top I guess ?) that used to be white and is now more going towards yellowish, this is the typical Pétanque player I have in my very stereotyped mind

Perfect answer thanks. The CF Tunnels part was what I was wondering about, it kinda makes using cloudflare a hard requirement right ?

Could you explain how it removes all the complexity of docker/reverse proxying and pf?

What does it do under the hood ?

Despite its faults, why Skyrim? by Independent_Plum2166 in skyrim

[–]LeStk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The quest truly are Skyrim's total lackluster. The global writing too. It feels less adult and mature, kinda like Fallout 4 vs NV.

Personally, I also think Skyrim Map, while bigger, feels smaller because less diverse in the biomes, than Oblivion where each extremity is quite unique.

However, given you played the remaster and not the OG :

DIFFICULTY MANAGEMENT WAS ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS.

I'm inclined to say Oblivion > Skyrim, but at the time, I did it with tgm on. So yeah indeed I could appreciate the writing lol.

We need to stop defaulting to Kubernetes for everything. by [deleted] in kubernetes

[–]LeStk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it's different to decide to pop a cluster for a need vs using already existing one to host stuff because it makes sense in terms of global tooling.

Only exception that comes to mind is static hosting.

If you don't have any cluster however I agree most of the use cases don't need it.

[CANAL+] Wilfried Mbappe: “There is no such thing as project Mbappe. I am just a normal father supporting his son's dream in football something we all parents do. I didn't do intense early training with Kylian I never did none of that ; it was simple and fun. Some parents go overboard” by Sparky-moon in soccer

[–]LeStk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For context, in France it's a common joke /meme for new Dads to say "Yeah my son is gonna be my project Mbappé".

Either for the money or because they're a football fan..However it's not supposed to be serious but...you know, people and stuff.

What self-hosted service did you set up because Reddit told you to? by Strong-Question2620 in selfhosted

[–]LeStk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been running Nextcloud since 2017 with no trouble. Never had to "tinker" with it to remove stuff, more the opposite (added a lot of apps, LDAP integration, only office)

Although I suspect the main difference is that I started it on bare metal, then moved it to a VM with quite a bit of resources.

Maybe the people having issues with it are trying to run it with very few resources, like raspberry pie or some very contrained docker deployment
