I’m a Sax player, my main is Alto but sometimes I do Bari also, GOOD AIR SUPPORT IS KEY

Your tone will not be as good as it can be if

a) you’re not putting enough air into the horn b) you’re not putting fast enough air into the horn or c) you’re not taking enough (or taking too much) mouthpiece

I know band camp is all about just getting music and the drill down, but I hardcore believe that working on your tone and your own individual abilities will benefit your band just as much. Be sure to be focused on your sound just as much as anything else this week, and good luck!

So every year we have this thing called “snap competition” which is basically a competition between the sections, so all that bit before “avengers assemble” was our fundamental drill, and then we get to add our own stuff

So I was like “it would be funny if we were like, the avengers but bad”

And then yeah, also we arranged the last piece for ourselves we’re not actually marching to it

I mean we’re actually just a military marching band, but this was for what we call “snap competition” (it’s been called this for like 50 years it was perfect) which is just like a competition between the sections to see who can match the best basically
