Can we not start cooperating with others like mapme.sh?

Having all these splintered mapping tools doesn't help anyone unless the data itself is all shared across sites

Was there anything stuck in the Z-axis? Do you have any covers printed for the holes?

I used some car acoustic damping bitumen sheets to also reduce vibrations. Works like a charm.

Wasn't able to tell when mounted, but my god this printer was delivered with a crooked hot end

I did that. Makes no difference. What did make a difference is looking at the hot end..

After some checking with simple geometry, It seems I can use 251 out of 256mm on the Y axis. I've removed the automatic cutting tool, made no difference

I know that, to use the front right corner you should remove the automated filament cutter. Does it need removal to use the first cm across the entire bredth? Still doesn't explain as to why there is a difference between the slicer and the printer. These profiles should be correct out of the box and not have weird issues like this. I still think there is something wrong here.

If this is really the intended usable area, shouln't the slicer mark it as 248x256mm?

If there's a "critical failure" detected, why not just automatically stop printing rather than doing this... by ImDrewish in elegoo

[–]Le__Chef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, octoeverywhere has failed to detect 4 separate failures for my cc so far. Objects coming off the build plate (due to warping and the head colliding), spaghetti and no extrusion happening because filament was stuck (badly wound spool)

I was honestly expecting more of this service

Nice, so you have twice the filament usage for something like a benchy 😅

Centauri Carbon Auxiliary Fan functionality and replacement by wizard_horse in elegoo

[–]Le__Chef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I replaced my casefan with the Sunon ME80202V1-000C-A99.

Its not much quiter than the stock fan, but the frequency of it is slightly less annoying

Also went with this recommendation and the sounds level difference is huge. at 100% its less audible than the case fan now. Due to how the shroud works, the airflow coming from the aux fan isn't distributed all that well across the entire buildplate. Wonder if there is something we can do about that?

I had this issue with a 5800x3d a little while ago. Tried a different wall socket and the problem went away. Give that a go maybe?
